no
yes, unless i found it in Mr CRXs wallet :)
No.
Unless I knew it had definitely been lost by a little old struggling pensioner or someone really hard up.

But - generally, no.
yes.....
if I found it outside bookies or pub no, elsewhere yes
If I actually knew who had lost the money e.g A senior Citizen, then I would return the money. On the other hand if it was blowing in the wind so to speak then I would think it was a stroke of good fortune !
I once found a large wodge of cash in a phone box. I handed it in to plod but it was never claimed so eventually I got to keep it.
Yes, I would always hand it in.
Yes,nowadays I would. Back in my dim and distant youth I would have kept it though. I have become more honest and law-abiding as i've aged.............mostly ;-)

Question Author
its just a question i heard on my local radio station today....there was a wide range of answers but the majority said they would NOT hand it into the police...unless it belonged to an o.a.p....seems that being an o.a.p pricks the conscience of the public....
Why Stoke?
Stoke on Trent? Are they more impoverished there then?
money soup......... mmmmmmmmmmmm my favorite

Yes, I would hand it in. It could have been mistakenly thrown away by some poor old lady with dementia like in the news a few weeks ago - this lady put £12,000 in a bin bag. Her daughter was alerted to the mistake and bin men and police searched the local tip, but as it was 2 weeks later, it would have been buried under hundreds of tons of waste.
That's a sad reflection on society stoke.

Gawd, I sound just like my mother....
