Well as somebody that has dyslexia I am of the opinion that it is enormously offensive and quite perturbing that you should be picking on people for spelling badly :)

just kidding, actually I agree, the dreadful spelling that crops up on here sometimes is shocking!

(though I am really dyslexic)

I think there is a more laid back approach to the teaching and marking of grammar and spelling at school, kids are rarely pulled up about spelling these days. I have seen a lot of marked work that ignores some very obvious spelling mistakes.

Yes Cazzz. I was reading in the paper about a woman who was outraged by the teacher's comment written on her daughter's homework. It read, "Could of tried harder".....

Quite rightly, the mother said that if the teacher was writing/speaking like that, what hope can there be for the children...!!!

Yes, really, I type most words by knowing the pattern on the keyboard rather than the actual spelling of them as such, if you put a pen in my hand I really can't spell at all.
