Yet again we hear of another death of a child at the hands of it's own parents.

Baby J, born to Eastern European parents, residing in London slipped through the net and died of injuries at the age of 3 months. Postmortem reports likened his injuries to those sustained in a car crash.

What is going on, that parents can without conscience or feeling, beat and kill an innocent newborn baby? Surely it would have been better if the mother had an abortion, before bringing this child into the world, to spend it's short life in pain and suffering.

I wonder did this sort of thing happen 20-30 years ago, or perhaps such incidents went unreported?

People seemingly have less value for life and less humanity than of yesteryear.
each generation gets more and more scary I think, it would have happened years ago but not spotted possibly and also covered up
Do you know what, this drives me INSANE!! These people manage to have children, when some of us, who want one more than anything, try for years with no luck. Life isn't fair sometimes. Especially not for poor children who get these people as parents instead of those that want them.
As I have said before, people like these use babies to get houses and benefits, then once they have got them they no longer have a use for the poor babies. Why can't they just give them up for adoption and let someone else love them?
some people are so horrible. how can parents bring a child into the world to abuse them and even kill them?
The sentiments shown are surprisingly different to the past post.

Why?
Can you really not see the difference AOG? Deliberately torturing a baby or a child having a child and not knowing what to do, and leaving a baby in a place to be found? If she had wanted to kill it she could have.

Maybe you don't believe in how unstable a woman's mental health can be after giving birth but the signs of PND can show very soon after delivery. It's seen within maternity units up and down the country. Maybe the girl was suffering with postpartum psychosis. It's impossible to tell but a very different situation.

Saying that I find it hard to believe that anyone who would do that to a child isn't mentally unhinged.
