it automatically edits a lot of rude words. It used to edit wrist watch but I don't think it does now.

Brit isn't usually a rude word.
Is 'Aussie' a rude word too, or 'Yank' or 'Pommie' or 'Paddy'. Just waiting to see if any of these are now edited when I post. I am a Brit, by the way and don't have any worries about anybody calling me a Brit, Pommie, etc.!
As I thought ...........................
being called a Brit has never been considered as offensive, and there is the difference.
Nicked my Golliwog last night we can even say that in the council!!!
So if people use a word in an offensive way, that word should not be used then Sarah? To me Pak1 is short for Pakistani. I have lived in an area with many Pakistani neighbours, and had Pakistani friends. If I referred to them as my Pak1 friends they would take no offense whatsoever. If someone shouted 'Pak1' out at them in an abusive way, that would be different.

It's the tone that matters, not the word itself.

We will be afraid to open our mouths soon.
well hey, you're talking to someone who feels offended at being called Sarah :o/
Ooops, sorry SarA ;o)
:o)
A few years ago if one was born and bred in this once great country called England, one was proud to be called an Englishman who lived in one (if not the best) country in the world. But now the establishment are now trying to get the country of England erased from the world map,

We are also having the freedom of speach and expression constantly curtailed, certain little words are no longer allowed to be said or even written, (except if they are in someway disguised or only the first letter is allowed to be used) simply because we are told that certain people may take offence.

Well I tell you what, it offends me because they now call me a Brit. instead of an English man.

It offends me to walk down the high street and constantly hear the F*** word or the C*** word, being spoken by people of all nationalities. etc. etc.

That is what offends me, but will new laws be brought into force to protect me from being offended? No but then I am only a once free Englishman.

Oh for the days when such people as that Damn Buster hero Guy Gibson was allowed to call his dog N***er. Cherry Blossom brown boot polish was called N****r Brown, and most children owned a Golli**g.

All this and yet not a raised eyebrow, questions in the 'House' or a major international incident.

What happened?
...it all fell apart when they stopped children going up chimneys...
AOG, I'm not surprised your Guy Gibson hero was a racist, your profile is now complete.

In WW2 the word 'racist' never existed, even Hitler wasn't so called.
Hitler only wanted to win wars, so wouldn't have been called a racist anyway.
As you can see on here, a word in my post has been asterisked out!

I posted the word p-a-k-i, but the politically correct website didn't like it. However, it didnt asterisk Scot!!!!!

Why's that then?
P.S. I only happened on this thread, after I'd posted on the other one.

Good to see I'm not on my own!
...unfortunately not...you're in good company with the rest of the racist morons on here...

Look up Scot in a dictionary and it will tell you that it is an abbreviation of Scottish. Look up P*** and it will tell you that it is am offensive term.

A bit like the difference between a vagina and a c*** - after all they are just words that describe the same part - but you would get upset if I referred to that word.

upset with political correctness?

Let's go back to the good old days when women didn't earn the same as a man, weren't allowed to have credit and it was acceptable for a man to hit his wife......

Happy still?
Ah the old England chestnut?
Prince harry the grandson of a kraut royal family .
Poor boy i feel sorry for him. After All he still doesn't know who his real father is.
And his dear mummy nearly married one of them rag-head shopkeepers sons.

Dodi wasnt it ?
