Still cheaper than each of these adults living as singles, each in their own home and claiming benefitsprobably with single family supplements, rent and council taxes paid.
In 2006 there was an outcry over 'superdad' benefit scrounger who shared his house with his wife, his mistresses and at least 14 children under 16 - all paid for by the state.
He certainly wasn't Muslim. But as was stated at the time, the money they received was a fraction of what they would have had if all the women and him each had their own homes.

Firstly, my reaction is that this is daft. But not for the reasons you'd expect.
I feel that no-one should have a family unless they can support them. This may put me in the minority, but there you go.
BUT - the fact is that state benefits exist. So do you draw the line and say "your values don't match mine, therefore your family cannot use these instruments of the state"?
Of course you don't . Therefore, you allow everyone - regardless of creed, political view, etc etc - to take part.
If you feel this is unfair, you only have to take on multiple partners yourself and get your money's worth - no-one's stopping you.

as pointed out it doesnt just benefit muslim men, but it is for their benefit, it just so happens their may be a handful of non muslims that it will gain, but it is for muslims, like everything else, we seem to cave in to these peoples every whim.
why cant we just make it plain to these people that if they arent happy with life over here then please by all means feel free to go, and the sooner the better, then perhaps we can start reclaiming our country and its identity.

The beneficiaries will be those people entitled to receive the payment.
Presumably before the changes, the claimants had to claim as single people, now they can have their marital status recognised. Its not as if these people were not claiming and receiving benefits before is it. This just now seems much more equitable and fair, which is one of the good things about this country, unlike other countries.

Could you explain why changes in the benefit system will impact upon immigration?
Are you suggesting that currently there are 'wives' living separated from their husbands who although could be resident in Britain have not done so as they were going to get more benefit as a single person, but now that it has decreased, they plan to live in this country?

Asian man living over here wih 1 wife, goes back home marries 3 female friends who want to live in Britain, comes back and legally claims under the new rules for polygamous marriages. Net cost to the system �100 per week.
3 happy females with all the rights to NHS treatment, larger homes to be provided for the extended family etc
