I was just reading the news and it was an article about Britain being a nation of tubby, tubby, lard arses (I ummed and ahhed about how to put it without sounding offensive because apparently we aren't allowed to say chubby, fat or obese). When they run these stories in the paers or on tv they always show pictures or video footage of pretty overweight people strolling round town but only from about the chest down, or focusing on great, big bottoms.

I would recognise me from this section they show and I would also recognise a few others? So

A) have you ever seen yourself on won of these we must stop eating so many cakes stories?
B) If you did see yourself on one of these news stories would you laugh or cry?
C) If you recognised someone else, would you phone them up and tell them?

ok, maybe I shouldnt watch Charlottes web whilst posting a question....paers= Papers and won should of course be one!
Goodsoulette, who has ever told you that you can't say chubby, fat or obese?

Use the words that YOU see fit and not those that the thought police say you should use.

What do suggest we use as an alternative?

Calorifically challenged? Under thin?

Yes they are rediculous terms so let's stick to the originals that we know and love.

If Id posted this in B&S, you would have been in heaps of trouble for that, Vibra.

She always liked you better.
Well duh.

I am the nice one afterall.

And I don't mix with riff raff.

pah!

depends on whose standards you are being judged on!
Iggy? Nick?

Pah... Neither of them could fight their way out of a plastic bag and at least one of them knows nothing about TMNT.

I mix with the highbrow pixels y'know...

By that I mean they went overboard with the plucking.

Lol Goody, I have often wondered this myself!
a) No
b) Laugh hysterically
c) Depends who it is!

Goodsoulette,

Please do not be so offensive, it is incredibly rude to laugh at people's size. The polite term is 'Rubenesque' for larger ladies.

And did you know, they have to employ specially trained Dwarfs to get those lowly viewed camera shots.
See my point ^^^^

Runs before Grom's notices
I can sense my name being taken in vain. I'll have you know that I'm extremely highbrow, have a superior and wide ranging knowledge about the TMHT, and if my mummy allowed me to use plastic bags (they're dangerous you know), I could probably fight my way out of several.
Perhaps you were just watching the report on widescreen GS?
A) Nay

B) I'd cry and cry until I was sick (or some such thing)

C) I couldn't, I'd be too embarrassed for them, although I would probably phone everyone else up and tell them
It's nija.

Only namby, pamby mummies boys say 'hero.'
i would tell em, just to shw them that " yes your ar&&e looks huge in those trousers" if i saw myself, i would be straight to virgin active!
I'm telling.
I'm telling GS's mum too.

Lol. You are all in trouble.

On another thread I used the word chubby and I was told I was fattist. I was dying to say actually take a look in the mirror and I think you will find you are the fattist but I restrained myself as it would only have served their point further.
