Loveable though he is, is bungling Boris a credible candidate, especialy as he seems to open his mouth before engaging brain many times?

Boris is smarter than he pretends to be in my opinion. (Did he not have his IQ published once which is actually suprisingly high? Or am I confused again?)

Yes, on one level he is a chracter of comic fun and there is the lovable bumbling aspect to him.

However, the 'funny' things that come out of his mouth, like all that liverpool stuff.... well I'm not always convinced that this is not his actual opinion.

So no. He won't be getting my vote. (Although I'm 100% with him on the bendy bus thing... fe*king things are a death trap!)
I'd vote for Boris
As this is a political thing I'm surprised the elections are not held at the same time as the general election. Having a tory mayor plays havoc with a Labour government and vice versa.
I cannot see myself voting for a man who has the same hairstyle as Debbie Harry.

It's wrong people.

Just wrong.

You have a Heart of Glass.
I think he'd make a good Mayor. You wouldn't want him as Prime Minister, or in any cabinet post in fact, but Mayor seems to be the kind of position where you could get away with being a bit of a buffoon without doing too much damage.

Picture this...Boris as Mayor? He must be dreaming.

(I can keep this up for ages...seriously).

What a joy it is to endorse the judgment of Max Hastings and share with him the hope that Boris Johnson will become the Conservative party's candidate for mayor of London. Of course, I do not want him to win the actual election."

I'm always touched by your presence dear
Awwww.... Spalt & Gromit, one way or another I think if you two met in the flesh it could be atomic and end in rapture.

Or maybe I'm just dreamin.
Part of me loves a bit or chaos and anarchy. I just deeply want to know what it would be like with Boris in charge, so much so that he may well get my vote, for nothing else other than nail biting curiosity.
This is uttely hysterical, funniest thing I have seen in a long time.....

Boris? With the tub of lard on this one. If he got in, the only redeeming feature would be the comedy value, which as I live 6000 miles from London, would actually be quite entertaining. As someone who vagely cares about what happens it would also be a little distressing when the laughter died down.

Boris or Ken? I know which I'd vote for. Boris anyday, I think we'd see a different side to the man.
