Is it just me or did anyone else read the heading 'Could this be Maddie' to the tune of 'Could It Be Magic' by Barry Manilow?
On another note, without wanting to sound like a hero, if I saw Maddie I'd a) get as good a photo as I can and b) follow the people she's with or at least be able to describe them adequately - at the very least.
Of the three (or is it four?) sightings, this is the first one to even take a photo. And none of the witnesses have gone out of their way to track her.
Or am I being harsh?

i have to agree. If I saw a child that remotely resembled Maddie I would at the very least try and follow them whilst I called the police, of not stop the people myself.
Absolutely shocking that people think that taking a photo is enough. Its just so typical of society today where people keep themselves to themselves
In this case, the person who took the photo, didnt realise until she downloaded the photo 3 later....why would she photograph 3 women walking the street??????

I have just read that the woman took the photo thinking it could be Maddie, although surely if that were the case she would take the camera straight to local police, not download them three weeks later. All the papers give different reports. The 'Mail's' report (dubious) says that the woman was 99% sure it was Maddie.
Personally, I think the girl looks too young and the hair falls differently with a natural parting on the other side. Although there are a quite a number of fair haired people, especially children, in Morocco.

She looks weathered Goodsoulette and a lot like a great deal of aged Moroccan native women who have had a hard life. Fair haired babies are not that rare even amongst native Moroccans. The child is not that blonde and if Madeleine's hair had been exposed to a lot of sun, surely it would be very blonde by now.
I don't think either that these native Morocanns would be the sort to have the funds to arrange a abduction or to do it themselves. If she was alive now I would expect her to be with a rich family or, although I sincerely hope not, being exploited - not carried around in normal fashion on the back of an old native woman.

The photo was taken from the inside of a car and the little girl was about 200 meters away, so of course it will take some time to enhance the image.
I for one really hope it is Maddie, because if it is her then at least she looks like she is being cared for and does not appear to be in distress, and , most important,she is alive!!!
