That's an unusual situation. Animals normally won't go anywhere near a cattle grid and this wasn't a young animal. I'm not keen on walking across them.

Well they do work for cattle, perhaps this chap fancied his chances!

Poor little boy!   So pleased he's alright.

I love the way the fire brigade get called to deal with basically anything!

They are called the Fire and Rescue Service nowadays; I suppose rescueing anything is better than sitting playing snooker in the Station all day waiting for something to happen.

And that snooker game can come to an halt at any moment, and find themselves fighting a fire for many hours "without" any breakes, and with their life on the line. Theres not to many people that go to work every day thinking they maynot come back home. Sea rescue also like the odd game of snooker.

Mr NiceBloke @ 11,44 .....Spot on once again as Always.....🤣.

When naomi said 'poor little boy'...I expected to see a toddler.

But instead a daft little pony...maybe he couldn't see through his shaggy mane.

Oh, and has no-one heard of Fire and Rescue getting cats out of trees? They've got the equipment that is required.

I call my dogs my little boy and my little girl, Pasta.  I'm daft with animals....

.... and before anyone else says it ... and with various other things.  ;o)

I call my cat dirt bag and stinky bum

I do love the the anti social moggy.

Omg poor thing! Bet he'll have bruised legs : (

Flipping walkers leaving gates open.

So irresponsible.  Idiots.

I talk to my Jay all the time.  He just stares at me when I ask him, "Who's my beautiful boy then"?

Can't remember where that question mark should go, before or after the quote mark? I used to know now forget so many things.

Sorry TTT, off topic:-(

I don't see the relevance of a gate being left open; all the cattle grids I've seen are there to replace gates.

Cat rescue? Although confinded to many comic books mosy of the time, it may happen, (I've never seen such an opperation) however any rookie who may not have had a great deal of experience, driving the engine through traffic, or equipment handling, its all very good practice when that urgent call comes about. In the unlikley event they are out on a cat mission, it will be dropped right away, cat still up tree or not.

The fire service hasn't for a long time been called out for cats stuck up trees.  Usually they only attend if they are called out by an animal welfare group of some sort.

The gate may have been to the field the pony was in which allowed the pony to get in to the field with the cattle grid

Yes, but animals won't normally go near a cattle grid. They have them on moorland to allow cars etc to travel without having to stop to open and close a gate with a gated by-pass for people walking animals.
