...area occupied by Israel.

There have been more than 300 people killed by the occupiers, the Israeli army, in the last few months. This is supposed to be a peaceful area.

Any thoughts?

West Bank?

Question Author

I thoughtlessly haven't named the area, assuming all the experts here in AB would know I referred to the West Bank.

Some of the West Bank Palestinians have been attacked (and some killed) killed by Jewish settlers, sometimes while the IDF looked on.

Also, Israel has been evicting from their homes, which were then bulldozed, the families of Palestinian men who attacked Israelis. It seems that punishing the families of miscreants is part of the culture over there.

The Israelis have been building homes in the area for some time now.

Question Author

The Nazis had a word for the peoples they considered sub human, which I can't remember just now. That was quite a while ago.  Curious how the Israelis, Zionists, Jews, are now occupying the space where the racists once strutted.

"which I can't remember just now"

yes you can, youre on a fishing trip and waiting to see if anybody will take your bait...

Question Author

bazeillrun,

I truly can't remember.  You'll probably know.  What was the word?

And do you think the Israeli butchers, at their work as we type, would say they're nothing like that?

sandyRoe @ 16:18: the word is Untermensch.

Question Author

Yes, Untermensch, thank you .  Now it's Palestinians .

//It seems that punishing the families of miscreants is part of the culture over there.//

It's not unique to Israelis, it's called 'collective responsibility' and it can be very effective.  It is the form of collective punishment & is often used as a disciplinary measure in wartime and in institutions, e.g. boarding schools, military units, prisons etc.

An aside.

When I was at RAF Fayid in the Egyptian Canal Zone, 1954-1955 there was Gerry, a man who pushed a cart around the base selling ice cream. He was a very angry man. He used to complain bitterly that he was Palestinian and was not allowed back into his own country.

Question Author

I'm sure everyone here will know a shambles was a slaughterhouse, á place where lesser creatures where butchered.

Henry // He used to complain bitterly that he was Palestinian and was not allowed back into his own country.//

He didn't have a 'country'. Palestine then was simply a geographical area in which lived Arabs, Jews, Christians & others.

There has never been a Palestinian government or a Palestinian language.

16:54, yes like the ones your Hamas buddies created in a rock festival and a kibbutz on 7/10.

OP, Bazwillrun is right, you are out and out lying.

Khandro. That's nit-picking.  Palestine was his home.
