al-Ahli hospital in gaza contained thousands of injured from the recent bombardment of gaza... it is estimated that at least 500 people have been killed. 
 

How can this possibly be a justifiable form of self defence?

has anyone at all claimed that al-Ahli was being used as a military asset or provided any evidence at all that this was the case?

Do you believe the Hamas terrorist group have signed up to the Geneva convention which you quoted earlier. If they had of done they wouldn't use a hospital as a base to carry out their atrocitys against Israel. They wouldn't use school play grounds to launch thousands of missiles against Israel. Yes. Israel are justified to take out any terrorist base if Hamas are using it for their war effort against Israel and killing their innocent babies and children.

Retrocop is right - Hamas are known to hide in, under and around hospitals. 

Re: someone said that the victims were Muslims so Hamas would not bomb their own - or words to that effect. 

If you believe that - you have seriously failed to understand Islam.  Believers killed in the cursade against 'the infidel' will be treated as martyrs by Allah and  so will go gloriously to the afterlife.  So if they are killed as collateral damage - they don't matter, all good.

Considering the 2,000 or so rockets fired by Hamas are very crude,unsophisticated and without guidance systems they fall randomly anywhere in Israel. I wonder what outcry we would hear from untitled or Gromit should a few land on a hospital in Israel. I bet the silence would be deafening. There is evidence,now, that the explosion on the Gaza hospital was a result of a Hamas explosive which does not surprise me one jot.

I don't know how many times i have to say this but i consider hamas an evil terrorist organisation... i do not support them or their methods in any way. it is always wrong to target civilians with lethal force. Always always always.

I am sure by now some will have seen the unverified footage of the strike on the hospital and if it is genuine then it shows a rocket not a bomb hitting the hospital. 
As far as I know only Hamas fires rockets

A total of around 1,250 Coventry people were killed in air-raids. Over 80% of all these fatalities came from just three raids - those of November 14th 1940 and 8th & 10th April 1941.

I dont believe anyone implied that coventry was bombed by the RAF

Numbers difficult to er verify- as low as 148 in some documents - say a third were children - wd be 600

Churchill knew from Ultra ( german codes break) that it wd be bombed but I dont think there is anyone ( not even on AB!) who imply Churchill did it.

and yes unrestricted civiliam bombing was declared a crime at nuremberg - and Goering cut a swathe by saying - but the Allies did it as well!

Jews arent infidel ( honestly we have had this before ) but children of the book ( ahl al kitab) and are certainly not kufr ( unbelievers - idol worshippers or apostates  ( converted to Islam and then converted out) 

Nonetheless, I agree that the Jews and Arabs are at each others throats
