I imagine the BBC is making itself popular in some quarters but not in all.  The Chief Rabbi has said that the BBC has lost its moral compass and a former Archbishop of Canterbury says it is not fit for purpose.

They're reporting that Belgian authorities are calling this a terrorist attack. (which is surprising)

Oh the joys of multiculturalism.

stop the presses!!...how could they?

it's just so 'unwoke'

heads must roll.

The fact they are saying someone else is calling it a terrorist attack is the same as saying that "several governments including the UK have designated Hamas a terrorist organisation".
Sometimes the BBC ties itself in knots but I'm not sure I'd go to the lengths of taking to the streets about it as some have done. Thanks to the BBC etc we've seen what was done last Sat week. This is a very emotive subject as we've seen: more than any other it seems.
Now if only governments would designate Russia a terrorist state, which it is just as surely as Gaza, then I personally would be quite happy for them to report that while not using the term themselves

Indeed.   Who'd a thought it could come back to bite us on the bottom?

Can't help feeling that the time will come to bypass the bottom and go for the jugular.

It doesn't help when followers of the crazies are a protected species

roy, I think you're right - and then watch the rabbits in the headlights.

Hamas are the very definition of terrorists.  The fact the official British broadcasting house can't say so speaks volumes of the world we live in.

"can't say so "

they could but it would break their leftie woke hearts to say it so won't and come up with all sorts of excuses, lie impartiality , which is about as ridiculous and ironic as can be...

Mental pygmy eradicated. Authorities standing by for more of the same.

Plenty to replace him.

Just cancel your licence.  I have, refuse to fund these people and their warped ideologies.

This is a huge fuss about very little. We all, the BBC included, knows what Hamas are: whether you think that it's right or not - on balance I think it wouldn't hurt if they did use the T word - what matters isn't really what journalists call them as long as they are reporting their actions (which I think they undoubtedly are) . What matters is that they are officially so designated: this is not just a label, it's done for practical reasons, the sort of things that governments can do to try to thwart their activities.

Am I correct in thinking that itv and sky news also use militant rather than terrorist, and if so, why are they not getting the criticism?

I noticed on Sky News yesterday, the reporter at an Israeli anti-BBC rally was making the point that there had been a Palestinian anti-BBC rally the day before, and that in view of that fact their colleagues at the BBC might feel they must be doing something right ...

Don't confuse people with your reasoned and nuanced input Ichkeria.

The BBC are woke lefty scum. End of.

..or establishment Tory supporting puppets of course, depending on who's commenting.
