Good Tuesday morning, Birdies.  I am hoping to pick up some more antibiotics at lunchtime for my current chest infection and some new inhalers.  It's been a rough few days.

 

Not much else going on around these parts. 

 

Anyone else have anything exciting to report?

I'm here, good morning Lcg, had one of those restless nights where I could not find a comfy spot, Mr B must of been fed up with me first turning one way then the other , which is why I'm up showered and dressed already

Good morning, Bobbi.  I slept mostly straight through but with a vague recollection of a tiny person climbing into the bed in the middle of the night.

No not really , all the busses are on strike across Tyneside so it's pretty quiet everywhere, looks very grey out there too, I have bits and bobs to be doing, I can always find something, My friend has just called me from Antalya , they got there last night

All I've got planned is mowing the lawn (hopefully last time before Spring).

It's Doctors' strikes too - today is the second day.  I had no Clinics yesterday, I have no list today.  I start my new job on Thursday.  

 

I'm just deciding whether to have breakfast.  Or maybe I'll have breakfast tonight and imagine I'm in a whole different timezone.  ;)

 

I'm afraid I don't envy your friend being in Antalya.  Nearly everyone I know who's been there has had Turkey tummy.  Never again :-(

Morning Canary , mine was done last Friday, I have a gardener as the back lawn especially , is very big and too much for Mr B to tackle

I'll be honest I was taken aback her booking up , they've got 3 grandkids and her daughter there too, the youngest being just 3

Plus she's just been diagnosed with having Lupus

Canary - I was working at 04:42.  I sometimes do a couple of hours overtime on a Tuesday morning before I start working from home.  It all goes in the savings pot :)

 

Hopefully this will be the last time you mow the lawn, although we are set to have a mini heatwave at some point.  OH has just ordered a couple of tonnes of soil and hopefully the new lawn will be laid at the end of next week.

Lupus in a nasty disease :-(  I would imagine that is not her only health problem.  Seldom does a person just have lupus and nothing else.

She's to see a Rheumatologist when she comes back Lcg

Let's hope she doesn't have to wait too long for that, Bobbi.  I know in my locality it's a heck of a long wait for the Rheumatology Services.

im off to Lanzarote with 3 pals ( one is my sil)  for my birthday , we fly on November 9th , my b'day is the 11th

Oh fantastic, Bobbi.  What a lovely thing to look forward to.  I really should go away for my birthday but it's mid-January and I don't have a lot of annual leave left so need to keep some back for emergencies.

 

It was my mother's 65th birthday yesterday.  I think she was a bit sad without her twin.  She came up on Saturday - last minute decision - as OH was away for the Ryder Cup and the Speedway.  It was nice to have some girly company for a change.

Oh yes of course, I forget you go out with your pals on a Wednesday.  Roll on retirement - I will be able to grab life by the horns and do what I want.

I've booked Dubai for Whitsun next year - just hope it's not too hot. 🔥

I really don't know how I had time to work LCG, it's now nearly 19 years since I retired and I've loved every second of it

Spoke to Minty who as you know hasn't been well, she looks in and smiles,says she's not missing AB at all just now but I suspect she'll surprise us one morning ( I'd like to think so)

lJ can't log on with basically the same problem I had ( now fixed) I miss both of these lovely ladies very much too ❤️❤️
