yesterday an Israeli police raid killed nine Palestinians. I dare say their commanders were proud of them too.
// On 27 January 2023, a Palestinian gunman killed at least seven Israeli civilians outside a synagogue in the Neve Yaakov neighbourhood of East Jerusalem. According to the police, the suspect was shot and killed after he opened fire on them. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack and said it was in retaliation for a raid in Jenin the day prior. //

Sadly, it is a cycle. The State of Israel kills Palestinians, the Palestinians retaliate. And vice versa. Lives are cheap in the Middle East, jewish and Palestinians constantly are killed.
This will go on forever.

Unfortunately I think that is true. Fanatics on both sides will continue to stoke the flames.

And weren’t we responsible for making the state of Israel an enclave there in 1948?
all pretty standard stuff...
"And weren’t we responsible for making the state of Israel an enclave there in 1948? " - Israel has been there since 3000bc bobs.
I’ve been there Tora , Bethlehem was a huge disappointment from what we read about in Sunday school, graffiti everywhere no doubt the Palestinians proclaiming it was always theirs as it’s now belongs to them,, it was a dirty little town , the golden dome was sectioned into 4 areas , Christian,Jewish, I think Armenian and I don’t remember the fourth quarter
Islam has a lot of imagination, since it was founded about 3500 years after the rest of the region it has no claim of any kind on any of it but that doesn't stop the BS. Bit like the Argies trying to claim the Falklands which have been British longer than Argentina has even been a country.
doubtless israel will respond with some massively disproportionate horrible atrocity of their own, and the survivors of that attack will then retaliate with violence and then...

somebody needs to be the first to do the unthinkable... nothing.
//somebody needs to be the first to do the unthinkable... nothing.//

Are you serious? peacenik.
// Israel an enclave //

Initially yes, when Palestine was under British rule.

In 1947 under the UN partition plan, the jews were allocated 55% of the land.

// making the state of Israel //

David Ben-Gurion did that all by himself.
yes i am serious… too many people have been pointlessly massacred on the alter of “something must be done”
