Most of the previously settled sleet melted yesterday and now has frozen again with a thin covering of white stuff. Just about right for skidding accidents.
We don't have much by way of gritters down here as they are not usually needed - this is the only about 3/5 load of white stuff I can remember in over 20 years. Anyway narrow lanes are difficult to grit.

I wonder how they do the ones up north. I know when I livid in Kent they didn't bother.
