For the last 4 months this town in NE Donetsk region has miraculously withstood constant attack, mainly from russian mercenaries.
It is scarcely people that people still live there, but they do.

Now it appears that the Wagner group mercenraries has been pushed back and been slaughtered on a massive scale.
What happens now is unclear.
They will probably send more to the meat grinder.

From what we hear of the Wagner group, that won't elicit much sympathy for them. They're best gone, it seems.

So... Putin's replacements from unwilling conscripts ? Or will he shuffle troops around and waste his more experienced regulars ?

The thing about Bakhmut is, it’s of no real strategic value to the Russian war effort. They have thrown manpower at trying to capture it for months (probably going back to a time when it might have been more valuable to them). Of course Ukrainians have also suffered heavy losses defending it.
It’s in our thoughts as some of our guys were due to be deployed there.
Many of the latest lot of Wagnerites I think were second rate ez-prisoners recruited by Prigozhin and preached to in one of his infamous leaked videos.
Whether this is the final flight of Die Walkure we’ll wait and see
Wagner deaths are always good news. Sheer evil there.
