I know it’s political noise that SKS is calling for a GE, but purely for the sake of the argument, let’s say it happened and Labour triumphed. Why the hell would SKS wish to be PM at the moment with all the crap the World economy is going through at the moment? We know Labour are dreadful with the economy (and granted it’s not in great shape due to recent events - not...

Let’s see how a former PM who had 148 against in a VONC and 60 ministers resign to force him to do the same?
He will unite the party, yes? He’ll make them look like the biggest hypocritical sycophants of all time and the public will really get to gauge what a bunch of self-serving bootlickers are serving their own interests.
Yeah, bring him back, it’ll be farcical as he waits to go in front of the PSC! PMSL
Boris, yes, - but only if he makes a real, genuine commitment to deal with immigration.
How funny that would be. All your knicker-wetting in vain. :o)
^ LOL ..
“The national interest”! Lol

I’ll bet the excitement has taken its toll on yours too!
Prepare for disappointment…..again! Lol
Khandro, he really is the only one who will put a stop to this nonsense.

My husband speculates that he’s only saying he’ll stand to wind his critics up. It made me laugh - but I hope he’s not right.
"Come back Boris, all is forgiven."

Ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho.
/Boris Johnson running to be leader described as 'fantasy' by Tory MP
A veteran Tory MP has said the idea of Boris Johnson running to be prime minister again is a "fantasy".
Sir Robert Syms, the Conservative MP for Poole, said: "Boris running is a fantasy the number for nominations will be lifted to limit runners and there will be massive pressure on the second candidate in the MPs' ballot to drop out."
It comes amid reports from The Times and The Telegraph that Mr Johnson is considering standing to return to Downing Street./

So again, remind me how those who went against him in the VONC will come out with their integrity and authority intact if the now voted for him?
Let the fantasy play out a bit longer, let them utterly destroy themselves. PMSL
indeed if johnson does stand it might actually prevent a unity candidate from emerging… the tory party is so bitterly divided it is effectively two or three parties in one now

In reality, I’d like to see Ben Wallace emerge as a candidate
/Boris Johnson should be blocked from standing as party leader - Lib Dems
The Liberal Democrats are calling for Boris Johnson to be blocked from standing as leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister.
Daisy Cooper, the Lib Dem's deputy leader, said: "The fact that Conservative MPs are even considering putting Boris Johnson back in Number 10 shows how out of touch they really are. They think there's one rule for them and another for everyone else.
"Boris Johnson was forced to resign in disgrace after countless lies, scandals and failures. He shattered public trust in the government and plunged the UK into a political crisis. He must never be allowed near Downing Street again.
"The future of our country should be in the hands of voters, not the Conservative MPs who have caused all this chaos."/

A dose of reality for the Borstriches. I sort of hope they do, it’ll confirm everything the public know to be true about the self-serving. Lol
The Tories are having a quick snap election for a leader, i think they are worried the publics faith in them may get thin.
May???
Fatti - Is the MAY??? as in "May get thin" or "T May for PM"?

Don't bother to answer, I think I know.

What is this nonsense? I don't get it, so am asking a sincere question, hoping for a sincere answer, not a put-down.

We know Labour are dreadful with the economy (and granted it’s not in great shape due to recent events - not all of the Tory’s making), so what would he bring to the table?
All politicians know that their policies are just what the country needs to sort out all the problems.
Liz Truss became PM knowing that.
DD.
You know that Labour will be awful with the economy; based on what they were like many years ago? But you think that the Tories would be good for the economy? Based on their track record over the last twelve years. I don't understand your position.

//We know Labour are dreadful with the economy (and granted it’s not in great shape due to recent events - not all of the Tory’s making), so what would he bring to the table?//

For a start a chancellor with a clear plan for financial stability, not some novice who was her best mate who in tandem with her delivered her plan which spooked the world markets and crash the economy.
I’m pretty sure they could wing it from there(even though they won’t) because they’ve not exactly got a tough act to follow, have they?
