This almost reminds me of the Rogue Trader(Nick Leeson) book, massive gambling to get out of debt, the only contrast being he knew what he was doing within the business and still got caught.

I cannot ever remember such an hostile response to a giveaway budget.
It is supposed to make everyone happy, but this one has just made everyone anxious and worried.
Kwarteng has borrowed £billions for little or no economic advantage. Cluelessness.
