I’ve a feeling that she’s finished her chances already by not imposing the windfall tax, despite the EU doing so.

Pimplyteen are you aware that the pricecao is based on raw energy prices with only a 1-2 %max profit allowed. Banni g profit would save an average customer £50 a year... welcome but small beer.
The real profit is been made not by bg or edf etc but the shells and bP and of course Putin.

Before you answer though, remember that Truss once worked for Shell and the biggest single contributor(£100,000) to her election campaign is the wife of the former BP Chief Executive, then wonder exactly whether Truss has your interests at heart or big business?

Am not convinced Fatticus. Perhaps your not able to explain where this £170 billion will come from. surely you study the treasury report and thought it looked suprisingly high. Do you really think a few companies are making so much profit they can easily afford £170 billion. Can you name the companies and approx excess profits. Have you even got a link to the treasury report?
