Speaking at a conference Wheeler, a parliamentary secretary in the Cabinet Office, said that "I was just at a conference in Blackpool or Birmingham or somewhere godawful."

She later tweeted an apology (for saying what she really thinks).

I was surprised she didn't try to spin it that she thought Blackpool and Birmingham were wonderful places but that the conference could equally have been somewhere "godawful".

Ms Wheeler seems to have contempt for we plebs, while Rayner dislikes her privileged "betters". Angie does have a rather unsubtle turn of phrase.
