Neither are you. Starmer wanted Boris to resign because he had lied to Parliament. BORIS’S reply was ‘wait for the report’. The report proved he lied.
Fatti, Why aren’t you answering my question? What’s good for one is good for the other. No?
What question?
Ah, Starmer the clairvoyant. I see. Ok auntie, I believe you. Millions wouldn’t.
There once was a man called Sir Keir,
Who chanced (when in 'lockdown') a beer,
But when questions were asked,
His deeds were unmasked,
And the karma stung Keir on the rear.
Apologies Naomi. I misread your post as saying 'the' instead of 'my'.
No Naomi Starmer the leader of the opposition, working in the same place as Boris with no doubt first hand knowledge of what was going on.
No problem, tomus.
Haaaa! No doubt. Best friends with Cummings perhaps. How funny. :o)))
Does anyone know what's in these questionnaires, and how the police would know if all your nswers are lies?.

It seems like nonsense. Why don't they send questionaires to burglary suspects?
Soungle,
//The thread is about Sir Kier. Try and deflect it all you like onto someone else. But the buck stops here, Sir Keir.//

It does. That’s why he offered his resignation. I daresay that’ll stand if he gets a FPN.
That’d make a refreshing change.
It is nonsense, tomus. The whole thing is nonsense.
Yes, Owen Jones, hero child of the left, was calling for Sir Kier to stop telling porkies, in that bastion of truth, the Guardian, earlier today. Sure the socialist infighting will be going down well at Keir Towers.
Starmer lied for months about Rayner being at the beer and curry social, and only when it was proven she was there, he referred to his lies as “a genuine mistake”.

If people are prepared to believe it was a genuine mistake, I have some magic beans to sell them.

Starmer honourable? Don’t make me laugh.
This is why (whatever Boris says or does) Labour will never win another general election.

Like cats in a sack.
Your replies are becoming juvenile Naomi. Why not respond to facts . Correct me if I’m wrong, but I reckon Starmer was in a far better position to know what was going on in Downing Street than your good self.
Nom,
//Fatti, Why aren’t you answering my question? What’s good for one is good for the other. No?//

Lol! Maybe you need to ask the ministers, advisers and lackeys the same thing, all those who’ve resigned as a direct result of the PM’s misdeeds?
Starmer is yet to be accused of or investigated for lying to parliament. Imagine if there was a Gray-style report into his behaviour, only for him to interfere and interject with it a week or so before publication? He’d look as a guilty as, well, I’m sure even you can work out how it would look.
Starmer has pretty much done everything above board in regards to scrutiny by the press and I’m sure that many will press for Durham Constabulary to break precedent over their retrospective fines.
If they do, he’ll resign and it’ll be a non-story, just apply more pressure on the PM.
It always look better if you appear to be honest from the outset.
I doubt he'll be fined, but if he is, it will only be good for labour.

He will resign, which will make him look like a heroic man of principle, even though he had no choice.

Labour will subsequently elect a new leader that will do better in the polls than him.
