I am sure some do.
I don't
The best thing they can do is get vaccinated. That's the best way to free up space in hospital, which will still be occupied regardless of whether the person is paying or not.
I don't call everyone who is unvaccinated an "anti-vaxer" by the way, Not sure about others.
It's a very dangerous step to take. If the vaccine guaranteed that you would not catch Covid or even that it removed the need for hospitalisation there would be a strong argument but it doesn't.
No. It irks me, but the principle of healthcare "free at the point of need" is that needed care shouldn't be withheld based on moral or value judgements.
no, plonkers they may be but it's a very dangerous path to head down.
No. We all pay for the NHS through our taxes.
I wouldn’t want my lifestyle choices to come into it should I need treatment for my pickled liver eg.
No.

Nor do I. Lots of people can't or wont for what reason have the vaccination, but don't rubbish vaccinations. The anti-vaxers are the ones that make all the noise about it and proclaim their stupid thoughts on the media. One, in particular, who often makes a of cheesey comments on here.

I won't have a flu job ever again whilst they are still using a certain adjuvant. It doesn't make me an anti vaxers and if flu takes me to hospital I would expect free treatment.

If someone refuses to have a mammogram, a smear test or take the bowel cancer test, should they also be denied treatment if they have to be hospitalised with a related illness?
Maggie, none of the conditions you list are transmissible so that's not really a valid reason to base such an argument on.
Agree Zacs-Master, just pointing out that not everyone takes up what is on offer. The NHS was set up on a "free at point of delivery" service and to deny someone treatment goes against the whole ethos of this, especially for someone who has paid their dues all of their working lives.
The Singapore healthcare system adopted this anti un-SARS-CoV-2 vaxxed policy last year.
Maybe we should make AIDS patients who didn't use a condom or cervical cancer patients who didn't have the HPV jab pay for their treatment as well..
No.

Many health problems are preventable. There are other unhealthy attitudes as well as being anti vaccination that lead to hospitalisation.

Should we charge drinkers, smokers, over-eaters, people who don’t exercise, people with poor diets, when they end up getting ill? - of course not.

With Covid, people can have all the vaccinations and still end up catching it needing hospital treatment.
Is that anti vax in general or just anti your fave vaccine?

Doing this would open up the NHS for dozens of law suits from people being refused treatment for a vaccine that is not mandatory. In addition if you make it mandatory and people die from the vaccine (and yes, unfortunately some will) then more law suits and accusations of murder.

It just shouldnt be done. Their choice.

Eh? Being vaccinated doesnt stop you transmitting it either!
'Eh? Being vaccinated doesnt stop you transmitting it either!'

I never said it did, if you read what I wrote carfully.
No.
