Snow in the offing between Christmas and New year. Already getting excited. Funny the things that bring us joy.

The Met Office's forecast for the city only goes up to the 27th but there's not a snowflake in sight:

Their long-range forecast for the whole country, covering 25 December to 3 January, doesn't look particularly promising for you either:
"This period remains somewhat uncertain in detail, but generally sees a split between colder air to the north and milder air to the south. Along the boundary, rain, with a risk of snow, predominantly across higher ground. To the south of this, mild, unsettled weather, with rain and occasional strong winds. To the north more settled conditions; brighter spells, with some wintry showers, mainly in the north and northeast, and feeling very cold in brisk northeasterly winds. Towards the end of the period potentially an interlude of more widely settled conditions, bringing colder, frosty weather. Maybe a risk of rain and snow with stronger winds arriving from the southwest later. Becoming colder than average heading into January with any unsettled, milder spells most likely for the west and south."
Aunty Beeb gets her forecasts from MeteoGroup, which go up to 3 January. Once again, there's no sign of the white stuff:

The Weather Channel is the only forecaster I can find suggesting the possibility of snow but, as that's always alongside rain on the same day, you're probably more likely to be enduring sleet than building snowmen :(

My advice is to close the curtains, turn the heating up, put your feet up and ignore the weather, whatever it is!

Barsel, we once went for a Canadian holiday over Easter. We drove into the Rockies thinking winter was over, but it wasn't. We stayed in a hotel in Banff and found it had a hot tub on the roof, so we hopped into it with snow falling on us. That's the only really nice experience I've had in snow. (I don't do skiing or anything.)
