Boris Johnson urges people to get jabbed ‘to be in strong position for Christmas’

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/boris-johnson-booster-vaccine-christmas-omicron-184343617.html

Fat chance - I've just made a booking on the first available date - 4th January.

Last time I tried a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't even let me book as it said it was too early to do so.

So, which is it ?
(a) Boris is lying again
(b) Boris hasn't got a clue
(c) He means Xmas 2022

Did she get a text telling her to book it if not then she tried to do it too early. No the NHS found out at the same time as the rest of us they did not get prior notice as a GP on breakfast said they didn't.
the poor bstard gets blamed for every little thing...
For those unable to read past the headline, here is a snippet of another Daily Mail report…

// Millions of vulnerable patients are being put at risk because the chaotic coronavirus booster vaccine rollout has left many struggling to get appointments.

The Government is on track to fall far short of its target of offering boosters to the 32million most vulnerable, including all over-50s, by Christmas Day. //

theshedman,
// Gromit, your headline says that… //

It isn’t my headline, it is the Daily Mail’s headline.
Once again Gromit, I ask you how is it the Boris's fault?
The answers you got were to the report you put on not another that you have now found. Which again is just to find fault in the system. Whilst some may have not had a good experience with the roll out many others have had no trouble at all but you won't look at it that way will you.

It is Boris’ fault because he came up with the plan and set the target. If it is failing, the buck stop at the PM.

What a load of tosh, he may have come up with the plan but it is up to the NHS and GP's etc to carry it out.
// Nearly ten million at-risk Britons will still be unprotected over the festive period //

// the poor bstard gets blamed for every little thing //

Hardly little.
every teeny weeny thing gromit, and you are indeed his worst critic.
Why will they be unprotected, they will have had both doses just not the booster. So they will still have some protection. Our booster jabs are going much better than they are in many countries so can't be all bad as you keep making out.
Mr doomsayer, that's Gromit, like's to big up even small problems.
Johnson’s special press conference on Monday was to change the original plan because not enough people were getting jabbed in time.
On Monday he said it would be sped up, and that he would booster the booster roll out.
Clearly an admission that it wasn’t working to plan.
this is a new variant, no one can tell yet what it's going to do.
The booster jab is for Covid. It is not specifically for any variants Delta or Omicron.
The hope (that’s all it is at the moment) is that the spread of Omicron will be slowed down if more people have the booster.
which is what is happening, people are queuing to have it done,
The Government were on track to fail its own imposed Christmas deadline by 10million people. So they have ramped up the delivery.
They have dressed it up as a response to Omicron, but the booster rollout and deadline were announced in September, long before anyone had heard of the new variant.
The warnings about Omicron’s potential may have forced the Government to fix the faltering booster rollout.

Glad to see you're posting again Canary.
Albeit short lived by the look of it…
