Even if it does, Betsy... how many times would you need to read it, to unthinkingly obey? My guess is, you could read it constantly for your entire life, without becoming a suicide bomber- as is the case with almost everyone.
Pixie, what do you want to blame Jews and Christians for? Their books don’t command them to kill strangers in the name of religion.

Reading the Koran doesn’t affect everyone but it affects all Muslims.
Have you read the Koran, Betsy? Come to that have you read the Bible?
I haven't mentioned Jews or Christians. Try again.

n. 16:41, I await the answer to that with interest - in fact, how many on here have read either?
You asked why we blame one book and not the other. I assume by the other you’re talking about the Bible - the book of the Jews and Christians - no? Which book did you mean then?
Just as an example, naomi. The bible and koran, both advocate violence. We expect Christians to ignore, we know nearly all Muslims do.... my question is... why do a minority of Muslims (or Christians, tbf) become terrorists.
Having established, it is neither caused by the book, or religion. So, why?
I have.
An example of what, pixie, and why should I try again? You do know that the Bible contains the books of the Jews and the Christians don’t you and that it doesn’t encourage the faithful to murder strangers?

You haven’t established that Islamic terrorism isn’t caused by the book. It is.
Naomi, We have all established that the vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists. You agree.

Whatever is causing it, is logically, neither reading nor religion. There is something else. And that, also happens with individuals from other religions as well.

We know what is ‘causing it’.
Not just one thing, obviously.
I'm unsure whether you are claiming that religion might be a trigger to already susceptible people-
Or that a sane person could read the Koran enough times, and will turn into a terrorist?
I’m not claiming either which is why I haven’t said either.
Any idea what you are claiming?
I’m not ‘claiming’ anything. I’m telling you as it is.
You are "telling" me,what you think. Fine. Again, what are you actually claiming?

Does religion "cause" terrorism,is it a trigger, something else?
Islam is responsible for Islamic terrorism. Why don’t you just go and read the book? That will help you to understand.

pixie: //why do a minority of Muslims (or Christians, tbf) become terrorists.//

The answer to that (ignoring the Christian ref.) is to be found in the Mosques & madrassas & lately online
Is it a psychiatry book, naomi? Otherwise, we seem to have already agreed, that reading a book, will not affect the majority of people.

Last time... why are a minority taking it differently?
Who are ‘we’? I haven’t agreed that with you, Pixie. Ever.
