morning, hopefully you are all well and in good spirits, i can't sleep any longer and so here we are - anyone have plans for the day, or just go with the flow. I had a nice day out with friends yesterday, so it might be a quiet one today. The weather has been very nice and warm which is lovely at this time of year.

looks like the birdies are still asleep, can't say that i blame you, wish i could do the same sometimes, but some chores to do later on and then the day is mine so to speak.
Not a lot of early birds today Emmie.
Keeping well?
I decided to have a lazy day today. After a foggy start, the weather not me, a perfect spring day.
Sun shining, birds chirping, what's not to like.

morning 1ozzy
Question Author
sounds great, i love spring time when the flowers are blooming and everything seems fresh and new.
Question Author
i have been having bad trouble with my left knee, it hurts much of the time, it goes off for a little bit if i rest up. but i can't do that much as things to do. I don't use painkillers as they don't work for me. i have tried but they don't get to the point of the pain, its a blessed nuisance.
Me too, although my sinuses complain about all the pollen in the air.
No need to let a minor complaint ruin a beautiful season.
Sign of age?

Ooh, my bad ;-)
Question Author
no indeed, we are getting into the autumn now, though its still surprising warm, which is lovely. i am still donning t shirt and shorts, but that may come to an end in the next few weeks once we hit october.
Question Author
yes its a sign of ageing, can't be helped, just have to get on with things.
Get the thermal clothing ready, shake the moths out of it.
I'll be searching out my shorts and thongs soon.
The thongs you wear on your feet!!!!
Question Author
did i say i heard from my friends in Oz, they are both ok, though bev hasn't seen her mum for 18 months which isn't good.
Question Author
i knew what you meant, lol
That's good to hear, shame about the lack of visits though.
Question Author
Bev said she doesn't go out, to stop from catching covid and passing it on. Horrible situation to be in. at least i went out during lockdown, even if was only to meet a mate for coffee. Bev hasn't been over to WA
for that time and though they speak on the phone 2-3 times a day, it's not the same thing -
Bevs mum lives 3554 kilometres away from her, approximately 2028 miles.
It would take at least 38 hours of non stop driving at high speed to get there.
Or, a few different flights.
Question Author
yes i know, she used to go twice a year, once at Christmas to see her mum, and once during the summer break i believe. now she tends her garden apparently and not much else.
Fingers crossed, when things calm down she will be able to visit again.
It's a good time of the year to be gardening down here.
Things are starting to grow and blossom.
Including weeds :-(
Question Author
Bev still works, though retired, can't say too much as she doesn't do social media.
Question Author
ah the weeds, yes i know what you mean, my brother has a beautiful garden and they tend it all year round or so it would seem. i sometimes wished i had a garden but i feel i wouldn't be able to sustain it. Nor would i be particularly good with plants as i don't have the knack of keeping them healthy.
