Do you think it's right for him to be released? Not that our opinions will make any difference to this decision but.....

sqad: "TTT......I don't know the Law, but I didn't know that WHOLE life sentences were an option. " - ALL life sentences are whole of life, it's just that they have various ways of TROB letting them out.
Is he going to receive a new identity, like Thompson and Venables?

If not, I wonder how long he'll last on the outside?
Stop spouting your daft acronyms and try and have a sensible discussion Tora.
...Its starts with the judge, he'll say "life" and recommend a minimum term. From that point you have Lord Longford types trying to get them back on the streets. A judge rarely says life means life they occasionally say something like, they should never be release but that's rare. But as many of the FOCS on here have said Life does in potentially mean what is says but hardly ever does.
My answer remains - no, he should not be released.
TTT....well there you go and as long as he is treated and assessed the same as other "lifers " then I will accept their decision making.....however imperfect.
mamy 16:37 I'm doing exactly that sweetheart.
"then I will accept their decision making.....however imperfect. " - well lets hope the savage doesn't choose someone close to you next then eh?
No certainties in life TTT.
If that's the only way you can converse then fair enough, but it's a shame.

I'm not your sweetheart.
lethal injection would have saved thousands over the years, and in the future...
Sqad, look at the link to the previous thread... "whole life" options are possible, but exceptionally rare. 70 odd in the UK.
Either, just guillotine a murderer/ rapist/ active paedophile on finding them guilty. Or- we have to choose, which are the most dangerous, as there is a limit on money and space.
By keeping him in prison forever, someone else can't be, so it really is a guess, on how likely someone is, to reoffend.

Sorry, I didn't see the other thread from last month.

I don't think he should be released. What happens if other double murderers are up for parole like Ian Huntley? I thought multiple murderers get life where it actually means life.
It does... but not "life in prison".
