//Trouble is Nailit you may of spread it without knowing//
Could I have spread the flu or the common cold without knowing it either?
Both are coronaviruses and both have symptoms.

Imagine going to the doctor asking for a sick note for an illness that has no symptoms?

Can I have a sick note please?
Why?
I have Covid
What are your symptons?
I dont have any
Heres your sick note.

REALLY?
C'mon Tora, you've only been out of jail for a day or so.
Stop the insulting remarks TTT, either answer the thread or don't - you know what happens.
WHAT OTHER DISEASE, ON GODS GREEN EARTH, HAS *NO* SYMPTONS WHAT SO EVER?
We had this conversation last week Nailit, we know you've been very fortunate - probably thanks to your mask wearing and social distancing as you said last time.

Long may it continue for you.

When id your Grandchild due?

Doesnt answer the question though?
Difference between asymptomatic and pre- symptomatic.

Both terms refer to people who do not have symptoms. The difference is that ‘asymptomatic’ refers to people who are infected but never develop any symptoms, while ‘pre-symptomatic’ refers to infected people who have not yet developed symptoms but go on to develop symptoms later.

Someone who is asymptomatic can be a carrier.

It seems that the Delta version is far more contagious than previous versions of covid.

Think it through Nailit. Thats a silly scenario. It shouldnt happen. Theres something called testing.
Thanks for the link mamy. (Genuenly)
Just got to many questions about it all at the moment.
Will have a read ;-)
//It seems that the Delta version is far more contagious than previous versions of covid.//
Yes but the vaccinne still greatley reduces the chance of getting it and almost allways reduces the symptoms. Most in hospital now are unvaccinated. Most deaths are unvaccinated

And the test are 100% correct?
It's very hard to keep track of what's going on, I know - only complicated by everyone and their pet cat having an opinion.

People must do what they feel is right and safe for them and their loved ones and take each freedom as it comes gladly but with a bit of caution.

Stay well.
//Most in hospital now are unvaccinated//
Most??
So some ARE then?
So what good did the Vax do them?

Two doses of Pfizer would give 80% resistance to the Delta version it seems.
Off to a local Delta restaurant tomorrow night with the boss.

It's a feather in my kappa.
No Nailit, your stretching things, but if you really asked adoctor for a sick note for covid with no symptoms the doctor would ask for your test result or reasons and wouldnt just give a sick note. They could test you or tell you to do it. Your right, the tests not 100% accurate but are close enough to it. Yes lateral Flow tests produce some false posatives but rarely miss it if you have covid, and you can alwys do a repeat test

Not sure what your leading up to gulliver, but though your figures about right the risk of hospital admission or death is much greater - maybe 95%. So we cant justify locking down again based on that.
This virus (and it’s various mutations) is not going away.

We need to get back to some semblance of normality.

Just last week I read that because we’ve all been isolating etc that the populace wldnt have been exposed to enough “normal” flu, etc and that this winter flu / pneumonia admissions expected to be sky high.

So great we’ve protected folk from covid only to overwhelm the nhs with flu / pneumonia!

Lockdowns have negative consequences along with the positive
