Mid term, mid crisis I'd expect the government to be way down from the 2019 position.

It must be a great relief, Tora, I'm pleased for you.
Nothing better for the ego, than a radicalised Tory .
Question Author
Well gully if I was you I'd be trying to get the opposition electable rather than spouting BS on here.
I think we radicalised Tories are great! Keep on radicalising Boris! You're doing a great job!
There could be song there Naomi , or at least a Limerick we could do , mmmmm , let’s get thinking

There was a greaseball called Starmer ........ :0))))

Question Author
bobbi, here is my entry from National Limerick day:
A party leader called Starmer
Created a bit of a drama
He got thrown from a Pub
Then Banned from a club
And got hammered by Boris, that’s Karma!
Good one TTT .
Haha, top that !!!
i think the Tories would still have a healthy lead in the polls if the odious Michael Gove was pm . . .
Ael, Michael Gove would probably be PM now if it wasn't for his lack of personality.I some ways it's a shame becuse he is a very good speaker.
Why is that good news? Doesn’t he already have an 80 seat majority (!)
Question Author
It't good news for us Tories Ich!
Question Author
TBF it's good news for everyone really, Labour have zero chance of getting their lefty mitts on the levers of power, that must be good, surely?
Surely not: why swap an 80 seat majority for a smaller one?
That was my point

ich: "Surely not: why swap an 80 seat majority for a smaller one?
That was my point" - no one suggested that, it's just an EC prediction. The point is that mid term, mid crisis you'd normally expect the government to be getting hammered on all fronts.
Question Author
well ken, I was pleased with it!
So i've noticed :-)
“ The point is that mid term, mid crisis you'd normally expect the government to be getting hammered on all fronts”

But we’ve known for some time that this particular crisis isn’t doing the government much harm. A common factor no one seemed to mention about the recent elections was that the ruling party, Tory, SNP and Labour, each did very well in England, Scotland and Wales respectively.
We all know the Tories are well ahead in the polls at the moment. Didn’t someone suggest Johnson should call an election recently: if he did (which he don’t of course) he’d lose seats. Probably more than 20 of his majority in fact.
So I stand my my point that a general election that suddenly happened today would certainly not be a good thing (for anyone).
Question Author
I agree ich, silly to have an election now, I was just showing the latest EC figures.
