because of the amount of elections going on in the country, from Scotland, Wales, England.....
Emmie, //i probably did Joe...//

Don’t worry about it. I wouldn’t have minded if it had been me because it’s relevant.

Ken, that’s what Emmie said earlier. White Britons are in a minority in London. Less than 50% are white British.
im not going to vote because ive not actually looked into it this time and id rather make no decision than the wrong one
"London is a multi-racial city. 59.8% of the total population are white, among which, 44.9% are white-British., 2.2% Irish and 12.2% of white from various parts of the globe."
"Asians are filling 20.9% of the London populace. Asian statistics include, 6.6% of Indians, 2.2% of Pakistan and 2.7% of Bangladesh. 1.5% of the population is covered by Chinese, with 1.3% of Arabs dwelling the mainland and the rest came from various areas of Asia."

How are the they in the minority?? Its nearly 45% the other 55 is made up of many other ethnicities ALL with different views Im sure.
Joe, //Another quote mentioning racial preferences! and ethnicity.//

So what? Shall we pretend that race and ethnicity doesn't exist?
//How are the they in the minority??//

Because in total they number fewer than the rest.
i dont understand why someones skin colour would determine who they vote for im very confused
Question Author
Need to know

. many are going to vote on party lines,
I think culture rather than skin colour is often the deciding factor.
no i cant do that for some instances i like a labour option for others i prefer a conservative i could never just go with one i have switched political parties all of my live
Question Author
more their ethnicity than their actual skin colour. Khan knows that he did well in London last time because we do indeed have a large Black and Asian population. He reiterates over and again that he is a Muslim, of Asian parents. Shaun Bailey is a relative newcomer to the London elections, i think he may also do well, appealing to the Afro Carribbean community in the capital. I don't think he will win, some of his policies were just not viable. I have been watching all the PPB in the hope that one will appeal over the others.
//How are the they in the minority??//

Because in total they number fewer than the rest.

The other 55% are made up of other ethnicities all Im sure with differing views, the other 55% cant possibly all have the same views/politically or otherwise the minority argument is simply not true, thats all Im saying.
people say in london only white people are minority but that is when you compare it white to non white only if you split up the nonwhite into their actual cultures then you might find that its not the case
its a classic case of people thinking youre either white or youre not white but it doesnt work like that because you cant be too black and white about it
//we aren't ruled by the Greens//

Yes we are Johnsons piece in No10 is a lefty green and without doubt she is driving the agenda and filling No10 with her mates as 'aides'.

Didnt you hear his (Johnson) Green agenda the other day? I know we all saw his lips moving meaning he was probably lying but he has promised an unachievable green agenda I dont remember voting for.
Emmie, while appearing to bemoan the fact Khan will win mainly because he has the Asian vote, no matter his policies, you have voted for someone whose policies you say are not viable? But he's a Tory so he's got you 'X'. There is no difference, therefore, to the way you vote and the way Asians/Blacks vote, is there?
Question Author
i bet that Khan takes the London Mayoralty....he will because Shaun is a relative newcomer. He is a viable candidate, i like some of his policies, 8000 new police on the streets for one, 8 thousand youth workers, and all those police stations opened again. Perhaps had he been seen about much sooner his message might have got out there.
Question Author
i voted for the Tory candidate, because A) I don't like Khan, b) despise the Greens and Lib dems. Bailey has it in him to win next time round....
Question Author
lets hope that people just go and vote across the country, that's all one can ask.

A i don't like Sadiq Khan, not because he's Asian, or Muslim, i didn't vote for him last time nor would i ever. I think he's done the worse possible job for London since becoming the Mayor. Crime is up, he;s says not, murder, gang violence is up, he says not. ummmm
