Just torture and murder a vulnerable woman and the state will protect you forever. Damn savages should never see the light of day again but they'll be out in 2031, free and anonymous and paid for by the state. Wonderful.

For those setting a trap for me as a Christian, I don't c!aim to have all of the answers.
But may I remind you, neither do you.
Andy shows from his posts that he most certainly doesn't, in fact he is clueless, and pedantic.
What a combination.
And yes, he is not a believer, so should stop laying traps. They are silly, and do nothing to promote his image.
//It's not an 'either / or' situation- you sympathise with the victim or the criminals.//

Not sure sympathise would be my word, but yes. When Floyd was murdered, we got plenty "he was a criminal anyway". But not here.

Not that I agree with that, but others did.
Looking at their ages when they committed this horrific crime...13 and 14...is 'putting them down' or 'a little pill ' really the solution? And are these punishments administered at 13...14...maybe 16? Or do we wait until a more suitable age?
Just curious.
Other than that I'd say whats needed is a much longer period of incarceration with lots of counselling and whatever is needed to improve their mental health...if that's possible.
God, pixie, I didn't get far enough in the link to read the victims history. I agree with your viewpoint.
You can't get longer than a minimum term. Except, maybe "whole life" which is exceptionally rare and might prevent them getting psychiatric care.
Thanks pasta. Just wanting to be clear, there is no justification. Just noticing the hypocrisy amongst a few ABers.

Please don't flatter yourself!!

I would dream of wasting my valuable time 'setting traps' for you as a Christian, or anything else, what an extraordinarily high opinion you have of your status in my eyes.

I simply pointed out that the son of your God allowed this dreadful event to happen without intervention, even though you think he would (conditional on him being around, which you are supposed to believe he is) 'love us enough' to prevent the situation.

The truth is, he didn't - and I offered that for your consideration and response - that being a response to my point, not grandstanding and huffing and puffing about how hard-done-to you are - again.

You can be rude to be to distract from the absence of an answer, but neither I or the regulars on here are fooled by your bombastic evasion - we have seen it too many times.
pixie, just ABers who term the victim as "vulnerable"?
What about the media then?

In the 3 examples I have given Angela is referred to as "vulnerable".

Whilst I am sure none would say Angela was without her faults I believe the atrocity of what her killers did is sufficient to tip the balance of "understanding".
Choux, that's why I made it clear I didn't mean it in that way. And I certainly didn't say "just ABers". The media is biased, hypocritical, sensationalist etc, we know that. It was more the difference with ABer reactions I was referring to.
I would say that use of the word "vulnerable" to describe Angela was and is appropriate.

And equally to her murderers. Make your mind up, really.... can everyone with mental health issues always control themselves, or can't they?
Mrs Justice Tipples has decided that the killers are vulnerable in upholding the ruling. What more do you want?
I'm not the one complaining, choux. Read the thread, maybe.
The victim was vulnerable and I make no excuses for using that word in respect of her. I only had to look at her photograph to realise that. I have no pity or compassion whatsoever for the teens who murdered her in such a barbaric way. They will no doubt be a drain on society for the rest of their miserable lives and will be no use to man nor beast as far as I am concerned.
No need to patronise me, pixie. Of course I read the whole thread.
Your post made no sense then. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt!
Severe mental health issues in which case give them a life long anonymity of a high security mental hospital
AH, theland shouldn’t be challenged on unrelated threads because of his religion - and it’s not the first time you’ve done it. Even Christians are entitled to voice their opinions.
The word ‘vulnerable’ is a bit misleading in this case. It does not mean she was weak, stupid or downtrodden.

She was an aggressive alcoholic with numerous prison sentences and asbo’s to her name, and often in fights.

Her chaotic lifestyle meant she rubbed shoulders with low lifes.
dont answer that pike - - AH I mean
