Why on earth, in the middle of a pandemic, is Boris even contemplating visiting Scotland tomorrow. Does he not follow his own rules?

After the event, Maggie...after the event.

//However, Celtic insist the training camp was approved by the Scottish government//

Perhaps he's just nipping up there to wish her a fond farewell.
I expect he's booked an eye test.
waste of time going, save the fare and spend it on something useful....
17.21 "save the fare"???? eh
unless he's driving all the way, he must be flying up or going by train perhaps, saves us some money if he just drops the idea altogether.
Ms Sturgeon says that she doesn't think it a good idea, and the one i time i can recall i agree with her.
So who is the * fake Scot * ?
17 21, Suppose if he didn't go, and saved the fare .
He could spend what he saved on a hair cut, or even a new trouser belt to stop his shirt from hanging out.
The best thing is to pull out. Of course if he'd never tried to go there'd have been complaints he was ignoring Scotland and was only intrested in London. He can now say he offfered to go to and will now go at a better time. Or he could suddenly find he has an emergency conference to hold with Pfeizer/EU or something
Maybe the Boris/Nichola summit can go ahead
- in Dubai.
I don't know why Boris should give Scotland another thought. Tell them the Indy terms in writing & give them the vote.

If you're going to speak about the First Minister sunk, at least have the courtesy to spell her name correctly.
As someone neither English nor Scottish I have to say...well I don't but I will.....I would much rather listen to NS and heed her than I would Boris Johnson
I did listen to him yesterday. It was painful and saddening.
Yes, she's a far more convincing liar.
Bobbisox: Yes, there are journalists scattered across the globe obeying local Covid rules.
//If you're going to speak about the First Minister sunk, at least have the courtesy to spell her name correctly.\\

He has spelt it correctly; she herself spells it wrongly.
I have very little time for NS in her perpetual quest to redefine a lifetime as 6 years ('A once in a Lifetime Referendum') - but she does seem to be doing rather better than Boris the Bodger in managing a response to Covid.
Why indeed? The troops and Armed Services know that we appreciate them(well some of us). So stay home Boris and take a well earned day off.

//Does he not follow his own rules?//

We can agree on this ... and the Scottish politicians have no need to go to Westminster. All that way in a pandemic, spreading all sorts of things just to claim a few bob more in expenses. Why was Alister Jack and his cronies there today, when questions can be asked on the telephone? Perhaps the English would rather they stayed away as well. Who would blame them?
