The other thread seems to have been closed down probably as it had strayed way off topic I just wanted to add an epilogue though in the form of a quote of Rory Stewart writing a review in the TLS of a new book by Tom Bower; 'Boris Johnson: The Gambler'.

.........."Perhaps it is envy. Johnson is after all the most accomplished liar in public life – perhaps the best liar ever to serve as prime minister. Some of this may have been a natural talent – but a lifetime of practice and study has allowed him to uncover new possibilities which go well beyond all the classifications of dishonesty attempted by classical theorists like St Augustine. He has mastered the use of error, omission, exaggeration, diminution, equivocation and flat denial. He has perfected casuistry, circumlocution, false equivalence and false analogy. He is equally adept at the ironic jest, the fib and the grand lie; the weasel word and the half-truth; the hyperbolic lie, the obvious lie, and the bulls hit lie – which may inadvertently be true. And because he has been so famous for this skill for so long, he can use his reputation to ascend to new levels of playful paradox. Thus he could say to me “Rory, don’t believe anything I am about to say, but I would like you to be in my cabinet” – and still have me laugh in admiration." .........

Sounds like a job description for any senior politician to me.
New a right old box of tricks then isn't he?
But he has a lot on his p!ate and I was sad to see Cummings go, at ?east BOJO was getting good advice.
This keyboard ma!es me sound like the Rosetta stone at times. Sorry!

Let's not make this a thread about closed threads.

Just repeat everything you said on the first one.

It is still there on my screen, but without an 'Answer Question' box - I therefore assumed it closed
if that;s the case then ok
He's selfish lazy untrustworthy incompetent dishonest and always was.

But the conservatives were clear. He's their man and they like him so the rest of us are stuck with him!
but they can chuck him out with a no confidence vote can't they????
I wouldn't want his job. It's an unenviable task.
yes it is.
They could. But they won't. It took them years to get rid of Theresa May.

The membership likes him and so do tory voters. They've never cared about the obvious flaws in his character. If you point it out you just get "wahey boris".
Khandro all that means that it takes no more answers , maybe it was getting a 'naughty' at times ?
don;t think so Bobbi, its was getting a bit childish with comments of a dubious nature.

Bobbi: Thanks, in that case I can't do as instructed to above.
why did so many vote for the Tories. They did presumably because of Brexit. They weren;t all died in the wool tory people, but those on all sides of the divide. They got Boris by dint of his being chosen by the Tory party.
I didn't follow it all the way tbh,I was busy shopping online
some of tit for tat childish name calling
