Funny, I thought this thread would now be full of the apologies of those who jumped to the erroneous conclusion of terrorism, when the perpetrator was just some tanked up ***. I guess they haven't seen the updated news yet, because I'm sure they must feel guilty about their mistake.

RIP the victims of this tragedy.
It was a bold (and wrong) OP blaming TROP but as I have said before...If someone gave you a million pounds and told you that you can keep the money if you guess who was behind the attack I know who you would blame. If you try to tell me different you would be lying.
Naomi, it looks contradictory, because you change the words randomly. One minute muslims/ Islam.... but the next, jihadists... which is at least more accurate.
As you say yourself, to be able to solve it, you need to understand the causes, which is obviously right.
But blaming it on "Islam" is clearly inaccurate when there are so many different factors.
The vast majority of terrorists are male, middle-aged, and all violent. But you choose a random category and blame that one, while ignoring all the rest.
That's as maybe Roy, but in this case, there was no prize money to force this (as you correctly said) wrong opinion, just somebody using a tragedy to start their usual anti-muslim schtick.

Now if I, as has often happened, make a mistake on here, I hold my hands up and admit my error, offering apologies if necessary. I can't see why that is too much to ask of others.

An interesting hypothesis, but no need to risk your money - you can get instant bigotry and narrow-minded religious persecution on here from the usual suspects - absolutely free!!
Bold? LOL. Righto!
pix - // Naomi, it looks contradictory, because you change the words randomly. One minute muslims/ Islam.... but the next, jihadists... which is at least more accurate. //

Naomi's position is the proverbial moveable feast - the Koran can be 'instruction' or 'guidance' depending on the point she is trying to swerve round, so a little judicial label manipulation such as the instance you have highlighted, is only to be expected.

of a person, action, or idea) showing a willingness to take risks;

What is your problem?
Roy // // If someone gave you a million pounds and told you that you can keep the money if you guess who was behind the attack I know who you would blame. If you try to tell me different you would be lying. //

Muslim religion would only be my second presumption, if I had to. My first would be male, between 20 and 50.... as that is the biggest risk factor in all violent crime.

Why are we ignoring that? Because it seems to include us personally? The statistics will show you. And I'm sure naomi will attempt to prove me wrong (if she can).
I know, Andy... but thanks x
what "risk" did the OP take? Having been proven wrong, he's just vanished.
‘ I haven't said 'the source *here* is Islam’

Yes, you did in your answer to me. Are you sure you’re ok? You seem to almost instantly forget what you write.
He's here somewhere.
What is the reason for males between 20 and 50 carrying out many attacks across Europe, Pixie?

roy - // What is the reason for males between 20 and 50 carrying out many attacks across Europe, Pixie? //

Pixie didn't refer to 'attacks across Europe' roy, she referred to violent crime.

Getting hung up on blaming Muslims, even when they are not to blame, can lead you to want to turn a post into saying something it didn't say - not a good way to go.
This thread isn't about violent crime in general.

So Pixie's point is as you like to say...not valid.
TTT posted - "sunk: "Why not just wait for the facts to be revealed? " - what and miss all the fun? I love watching the handwringers getting all in a lather as they desperately hope it won't be the fluffy bunny muslims whilst at the same time knowing it almost certainly is. "
His attitude explains my first post at 14:23. - People dead? gives me a chance to have a go at the handwringers and so-called ROP adherents. Let's dance about it. Never mind what really happened, I can bait the do-gooders. - An intelligent man who unfortunately has to show off how hard and independent he is.
If he is that hard he should return... pronto.
The latest report says 5 dead. This scumbag should not see the outside of a prison again.

As someone putting forward nonsensical scenarios akin to 'If my aunty had a deep voice she'd be my uncle ...' I'm not sure you are best placed to judge what is and what is not valid in a discussion.
