Theland - // So it was a drunk driver then?
Well that's a surprise.
That's a lot of drink! //

And he wasn't a Muslim - fancy that!!

Maybe that's the aspect of your responses you should be addressing instead of popping back trying to look like this is your first visit.
Hmmm,

You get 200 posts by people pointing out your stupidity, and laughing at your comic fall.
And you think you have won some kind of plaudit.

You didn’t have enough Scotch Eggs with your loopy juice today.

roy - // TTT isn't my buddy and there is nothing wrong with using the word BOLD. //

Indeed there isn't - as long as you have a firm grasp of the concept of context - and that's where you tend to fall down I'm afraid.
_______________
Who do you think you are?

For all the stupid idiots

showing a willingness to take risks;
showing a willingness to take risks;
showing a willingness to take risks;
royfromus - // Who do you think you are? //

I'm Andy Hughes, from The Answerbank.

Who do you think you are?
I repeat

what risks?
what risks?
what risks?
The risk of looking like a prat when he proves to be little more than a bigot?
that may have been the upside rather than the risk.
Roy - From the Cambridge Dictionary -

"bold - not shy, especially in a way that shows no respect"

You used the word in a way that you believe suits your point - but that only applies if the word has one definition, and one only.

Bold has the above definition, and that is what it mwans in your post - just that you didn't actually know that.

Context is a bit of a trip hazard if you're not careful - as is taking the first definition you find, and assuming it's the only on there is.
What risk?

''I say TROP did it........;;

That was a risk was it not?

what did he risk?

The risk of looking like an unimformed bigoted agitator?

Ok, if you like ...
I used the word Bold because I know it means taking a risk.

A bold selection from the England manager...he's taking a risk 2

Stop trying to be clever *** andy hughes...
I did caution waiting for the facts very early on in this thread. Instead TTT just dug a bigger hole.

I hate Islamic terrorism as much as everyone else. But condemning 2 billion people on a wrong hunch with no evidence, is a tad... embarrassing.
"A car has driven into a crowd of people and killed at least two. I say it woz the Muslims wot done it."

It was not bold, it was not a risk, it was racism, pure and simple. It was racism even if it did eventually turn out that it was an Islamist terrorist ... which it didn't.
jno
what did he risk?

He clearly risked being wrong and the wrath of the ROB (I'm sure there should be another letter in there)
There still seems to be speculation it was deliberate and not just because he was drunk.

As asked already, a couple of times, exactly what 'risk' is there in jumping to an incorrect conclusion in adfvance of evidence - apart from, as I have said, the risk of looking like a bigot?

// Stop trying to be clever *** andy hughes... //

I'm not 'trying to be clever' roy, I am clever - you may not like that, but it's still true!!!
It had all the hallmarks of TROP so its a relief that the tragedy ends here, and its not the beginning of a !killing spree.
But and incident like this is as horrible!e for the families friends and community no matter the cause.
roy - // He clearly risked being wrong and the wrath of the ROB (I'm sure there should be another letter in there) //

You have an even shakier grasp of what 'risk' means than 'bold' it seems.
