And the constant bad news won't help either Apc
Very true X
In bad times, think of all the things you have that others may not, you would be amazed how long the list will grow.
Funny enough measuring other people's problems may not make yours seem less. Pain, loss, deprivation are only as the person experiencing them feels.
Other people's suggestion that we consider this just adds a layer of guilt and sense of being unfairly judged too what already may seem a difficult situation.
it's Sunday. I'm saving my panic buying till tomorrow.
Yeh, the one time I have suffered clinical depression was one of the most privileged times of my life. No-one saying 'you should not feel like this, because of this, that and the other' made any difference. In fact, it made it worse because it made me feel as if I had no right to feel the way I felt as there were so many people with so much less than what I had. I hope you can get some help for your depression Apc
I'm talking basics here, but sadly many expect way to much, because that's what they have got used to, and fear they can't, or won't do with less.
^^ to rw
Apc. sorry you are feeling so low, I hope you come into the lightness again soon - until then take care x
Friend sent this to me a few years ago when I was suffering from clinical depression. I have always kept a copy and read it if I'm feeling down.

When the world is on your shoulders
And your heart feels full of lead
And your stomach churns like butter
And the voice inside your head
Is reminding you of everything
You've ever said or done
All your failures and regrets
All the times your fear has won
Take a minute to remember
You've survived all this before
You've battled and you've conquered
When you thought you had no more
You're stronger than you realise
You're brave and wise and kind
And you know you're so much bigger
Than the doubts that fill your mind
So breathe it in and let it out
Allow the ebb and flow
You can win this war, you always do
You're a warrior you know
Thanks you lovely folk. Unfortunately I have always had anxiety issues and various medical issues over the last few years suddenly caught up with me, so basically have had some sort of breakdown. This was just before Covid. Ive always been an outgoing person and even been told by quite a few people that I would make a very good counsellor. However, I have been a very poor counsellor for myself. I also feel like a nuisance and of no value any more. Fortunately, I have a very grounded, sensible OH who is more than capable to manage all the things they I was doing at home (except for Finance and Paperwork, which funnily enough I am still doing happily. Unfortunately, I feel worn out most of the time.

I'm glad I offloaded on here, and thanks for understanding.
Maggiebee. Special thanks for that poem. xx
And thank you for such an open and honest post, I truly wish you well for the future Apc x
Apc, quite often our brains ( like other organs) require a rest and nurturing .
It's time to sit back and smell the roses
Thanks Anne. The problem is my brain is acting in overtime and in a muddle, whilst physically I feel about 95! Anxiety is very hard to handle.
And thanks Calm
I have enough San Izal toilet paper to last a year and it is double sided as well
gollob - I think Izal will stand washing at least once, so that will make it go even further.
Never bought a panic in my life and i don't intend to start now.
