Religions almost all preach peace, right up to the shout of 'Charge!' Fighting in the name of a god who loves everybody. Certifiable the lot of them.

During the war German nationals in the UK were interned. There was none of this, "They're not all Nazis".
That was during wartime. I don't believe we're currently at war.
Others might disagree with you.
Then others would be wrong.
Another who favours persecution then. At least you're honest about it. I do hope nobody with your ideas ever gets into power, but I fear it may be possible.
Ken, // they have warped and shaped their religious scriptures to meet their own ends.//

They haven’t though - and that’s the problem. Islamic literature justifies everything Jihadists do.

//my comparison with NI is not borne of ignorance.//

I’m afraid it is Ken. The questions you need to ask yourself are ‘What would resolve the Irish problem?’ …. and then ‘What would resolve the Islamic problem?’ …. and compare the two answers. Despite the Catholic/Protestant divide, the first is not a religious war, but a political one and may be resolved by political agreement. The second will only be resolved when Islam achieves its goal - an Islamic world. Until then, it will never stop. That is not to say that every Muslim is a terrorist, but it is incumbent upon all to further the cause of Islam and that is attempted in a variety of ways, whether it be the local Imam cheerfully inviting the neighbours in for a cup of tea and a chat, or by entering the world of politics, business, media, or whatever else. The simple fact is that in its ultimate ambition Islam does not compromise. It can’t. The words of Allah and his prophet are beyond reproach.
What would be your preferred solution to the "Islamic problem" as you put it, naomi?
Untitled, Go and talk to someone else. I've no interest in people who can’t conduct a civil discussion.
He seems to be attempting civil conversation right now.

so no one is willing to attempt my question above of why they don't put their own house in order then. Right oh!
Mind your own business, mozz.
As I suspected, you won't answer.

I'm sorry if this comes across as uncivil, but you're quite happy to characterise muslims as the enemy and then let the Thelands/iluvmargies/Jackdaws of the world "draw their own conclusions" from your ideas. When they talk about bulldozing mosques or interning muslims after agreeing with you that Islam is the enemy, you don't denounce them. Your ideas don't lead anywhere except persecution. You know it, but you won't say it. You say you want to monitor mosques, for example, but you also believe that Islam "justifies everything Jihadists do." So you monitor the mosques and discover - surprise surprise - that they are preaching Islam, which in your view is inherently Jihadi. Whatever shall we do then? You don't answer, but you let other people do it.

It's very very clever. But not all of us are blind to it. Some of us can see what you are doing. There are always enablers like that.
Now who's being rude and uncivil Naomi?
All these racists getting het up over a little bit of beheading...what ever next, jail Islamist lunatics dropping litter?

Untitled, // I'm sorry if this comes across as uncivil//

No you’re not - and do yourself a favour. Abandon your selective editing because it shows

Mozz, You might appreciate the disgusting slurs your sidekick has been posting since joining AB yesterday but I don’t. Mind your own business. I’ll make my own choices.

untitled: "As I suspected, you won't answer. " - ditto (11:06)
I'm still trying to work out Untitled's previous incarnation. I have my suspicions.
TTT //no but we have got to stop pandering to them and making excuses for them.//

This is backwards. It's those blaming a religion rather than the perpetrators, who are making excuses for them. I would rather blame the extremists themselves, rather than suggesting it isn't their personal responsibility, but the fault of Islam. You are letting them off their own behaviour, and not all of them interpret and behave the same way

still waiting for an answer from TFOJ, 11:06

To those above going on about persecution, I'm not talking about persecution I'd settle for them being subject to the same laws as the rest of us.
