Let em all come and give them the "so shall" housing being taken by illegal immigrants for a start. Not a marxist or commie amongst them. Perhaps the BLM left wingers would do a "housing swap". They don't stab each other or spontaneously explode with mental illness either.

ok LB, as you wish, you can be my place holder!
LOL. xx
Not holding my breath.
The question surely is, how many will the Chinese allow to leave!
Oh I think the Chinese would lay on coaches to the airport.

HK will cease to exist, this is just stage 1, if anyone wants to get out now is the time, whilst they still have HK nationality, that won't exist much longer.
So far as I am concerned, they are all welcome - but I doubt that all 3 million will arrive. If we have control over our borders then they could be allowed in before others. I once lived next to a Hong Kong Chinaman and his Polish wife (lovely people) and when his family came to visit they were very pleasant. They are a hard-working, entrepreneurial people who espouse our values - well worth prioritising over others.

We are watching, with dismay, History repeating itself. :(
Sure that not all 3 millions will arrive, cos among that 3 millions Hong Konger many of them had Australia, Canada, US or NZ passport. To be previse, I think the government should offer those Hong Konger without other country passport can arrive to UK. Also, UK's offer is a path to citizen, they need to be UK 5 years without access to benefits, of cause paying tax or student fees.
good answer chingwan
the chinese are well educated, work hard and pay taxes
they go to school rather than burn the schools down

they are a welcome minority .... up north at least

they dont riot - they dont demand minority rights and when they speak I can understand them - oh and when I see three or four kids together I dont run the other way
Many of them are rich. I believed if they can come, they will be a good contribution to the economy rather than a burden. I agreed with Carolegif //The question surely is, how many will the Chinese allow to leave! //.
Thank you Peter
They will be a great asset to us and very welcome as far as I'm concerned. As for Gulliver's stupid comment about voting for Brexit to stop immigration, this is completely untrue. Controlled immigration is what most of us wanted and still want.
We would never regret offering the hand of friendship to Hong Kongers.
They would only ever be a great asset.
Absolutely right Apc @ 23.44.
Good contribution Chingwan. I hope all those who want to come will be allowed out and welcomed here.
err where are they all going to live, and how many jobs have gone to the wall because of the virus, im sure many are not rich either.
as much as i like hong konger, it's just not realistic to let in x million
not with our creaking infrastructure..
Fender, as others have said. They won't all want to come to the UK. I doubt if it would get further than thousands. Many European countries will welcome them as will Australia and New Zealand. And very many older people will accept the new regime.
I can't see any country taking in millions of immigrants, or any at all, while Covid is still going on. And the Chinese aren't about to let any of them go anyway.

Sad but true jno.
I am sure that those who wish to come here will find a way.
