I'm watching PMs questions now, what a boring man Mr Starmer is, he lacks charisma and has no 'oomph', with him at the Labour helm they have no chance of unseating Boris Johnson!

If it was just charisma that he lacked he could get by. He also lacks a social policy, an alternative answer to handling the vi R us, an economic plan, a Brexit strategy, a defence of the realm intent, and a decent makeup lakey.....amongst other things. He is a safe pair of hands in that he has no arms. Plus......I called him Max Headroom well before Private Eye....

Accy Stanley v Man Utd all the time? It would appear, TTT, that you don't seem to hold Boris in much esteem, likening him to a side in 5th place, some 34 points behind Champions Liverpool. (Not to mention just 7 points above the Mighty Clarets) :-)
"Because his opponent was an imbecile?"

A little unnecessary, Mozz - not like you at all.

Corbyn isn't an imbecile - he was simply unelectable. He'd have been a superb member of Clement Attlee's great reforming government, but even then he couldn't have been prime minister.

Regrettably, until / unless someone else comes along, Starmer is Labour's best hope, which isn't saying much, I'm afraid. It's akin to coming home from school and telling your Mum you didn't pass but you came top of those who failed.

We have an awful government at the moment, but the opposition (such as it is) is even worse.
jimf: "We have an awful government at the moment," - yeah I know wee jimmy is a nightmare.
You really are a ***! Change the effin' record, why don't you?
aww come on jim I thought you were talking about the Scottish "government".

Haha..... follow the leader.
"I called him Max Headroom well before Private Eye. Fact."

That actually doesn't give you the kudos you imagine, though. Do you honestly think that referring to a person, in this case a politician by an epithet making insulting mock of their appearance in some way actually adds any gravitas to whatever point you're trying to make?
Charisma or policy?
Yep...we all do it. Got one for the Scottish chief foot stamper as well. Do ya wanna hear it?
We don't all do it. Only those who don't have the smarts to present a cogent argument do it, because they think it makes them appear clever or humorous or whatever.

And I'm fine without your hilarious nickname for Nicola Sturgeon, thanks. It's hardly going to be original...

\\//we've just got rid of a weasel a labour leader, now we have a sloth//

And what do we have at the moment?

Funny, they wouldn't dare do that with a black mp.
You have to remember Saint Pete that at the last election the electorate were asked to vote for two wholly incompetent and worse than useless eejits.Corbyn was an alleged anti-semite,it was well known he shared platforms with terrorist scum, who the hell apart from the Momentum rabble would go anywhere near to voting for the old scarecrow. As for Johnson people just held their noses and voted for him out of cussedness....

Would've been nice to have had a thread without race being bought into it, but I might've known how some people can get triggered over the slightest thing.
Arguing about which of Boris or Starmer is the worst is pointless at the moment. There's ages between now and the next election, and that's a long way away. None of us even know what's going to be happening at the end of the year.

No they were not. The electorate were asked to vote for parties, not individuals.

I'm one-up that pedantry: the electorate were asked to vote for individual MPs, not parties.

@23.53.Yes Dave, but the electorate also vote for the leader of whatever political party which most represent their values and hopes and dreams-a voter would think that if Johnson got into power he would have us all round to his house for a party with plenty of booze, but if Corbyn got into power the only people allowed in would be terrorist scum and only Guinness and PLO approved wine would be the drinks on offer.
He hasnt exactly got much to work with, what a lame bunch they are.
“ that if Johnson got into power he would have us all round to his house for a party with plenty of booze”

So people do vote for a party then :-)
I fear it’s not going to happen ...
I didn’t care for JC to say the least, but I might have gone for the Guinness and the “PLO approved wine” (??) on the grounds there was more chance of that happening.

All the above is a joke of course.
