It’s kept a * Terrorist sympathiser * at the right side of number 10 , but because of the U turns and the contradictory statements each day , I’m fast becoming disillusioned with the party I voted for, the latest allowing Cummings to keep his job, no link needed

I'm still very happy I voted Conservative. I dread to think what state we'd be in now had that slithering serpent, Corbyn, got the keys to No 10.
I think it's becoming more likely by the minute that the Tories will have an outright win in the next GE.
I suppose you've considered the possibility (however remote) that the alternative may not have been as apocalyptic as you imagine.

I’m not that disillusioned Douglas
I've just realised, having changed my mind as to the wording in my post, that I meant to say LESS liely.
Why do you have terrorist sympathiser in asterisks,Bobbi?Everyone and their aunt know that this creature was an IRA and Hamas terrorism sympathist.

I can’t do italics on here ynnafymmiso I’m emphasising it
Don't forget Hezbollah
But they are all the same aren't they? I suspect the Labour party would have been exactly the same. There are always opportunists in every party who make the rules and then flaunt them. They think they are above it all and can get away with it. I think politicians are more slippery than defence lawyers! I think Boris still deserves a chance.
Great...
Cumings thread no.4

Can't wait for mambo.
It’s true to say that no government since WWII has been faced with such complex issues at this one is facing. Brexit is on-going, they’re currently trying to work a way through a pandemic and, because of that, the economy is facing disaster - and people get their knickers in a knot about u-turns and government employees they perceive to be less than worthy of their positions. The fact is - and anyone who is or has been an employer will understand this - even a wayward employee is worth hanging on to if he’s doing a valuable job - and only the employer can decide that. He’s not about to ask the AnswerBank for opinions - and nor should he. We appear to have become a nation populated by lip-dragging snowflakes who all think they know best and who all want it their way. The whingers need to get a grip and grow up.
have faith bobbi these are unusual times, would it really have been better with Agent Cob in no 10?

I'm not disillusioned Bobbisox, I just think it's par for the course with politicians. The majority of them are out for no. 1 in my opinion. It must be hard to be PM right now. I really, really dread to think how Corbyn would have handled this by the way!
Did the old scarecrow actually expect anyone in Warrington to vote for him after what his friends in the IRA did to the town?...after they murdered youngsters in their genocidal war against the British people?
Question Author
Yes, you’re right Daisy , COB would have enlisted the help of Hamas by now
Time alone will tell if the country agrees with you in a few years, but hopefully there will be a more reasonable choice before the public in 2024 or whenever.

I do agree with Naomi's first point; the Government is extremely unlucky to have faced such a complex issue as a pandemic at the same time as having another major issue on their plate (which, in turn, makes it odd why the Government is so afraid of adding a few months to the, totally arbitrary, Brexit timetable so that they can focus their energy properly on the more urgent health and economic crisis).
As bad as it may be, It can't possibly be worse than what it would be if Corbyn, Abacus et al had been in charge.

The most intelligent contribution on the fiasco that all this has become.

What Cummings has done or hasn't done has no bearing on the position we are now all in with the virus and the economy. It hasn't changed anything since it happened weeks ago. Nobody has suffered by what he did. What will be achieved by sacking him?
