diddly - // If Boris still needs time to recover as some of you claim, why did he make the grand gesture of standing in front of a lectern in Downing St this morning unchallenged rather than heading the press conference this afternoon? I'll tell you why - he was frit of the journos questions. //

There are a number of ministers who can answer the questions that may be put to the PM, but only the PM can do the rousing 'in this together, keep calm and carry on … ' bit, so he did.

I think it's reasonable that he takes it easy for a few days, not least because he needs to be brought up to speed with what has been going on, and what the plans are - so that he can answer journalists properly, and not appear 'frit' as you put it.
diddlydo, the Prime Minister, although back at work, is still recovering from a serious debilitating illness, his energy level might be quite good in the morning but can drop away later in the day. Try to find a little compassion in your constant complaining.

....or a little Dominic for all i know!
I thought he did vey well in Downing Street this morning. He showed his determination to get the country through this virus, and that he was not prepared to take any chances.

My brother in law had the virus but being an athlete, his lungs were good. Even so, he was taken to hispital when his temperature went over 40 where they gave him an assessment and sent him home. They told him that he didn't need oxygen as he was so fit but even so it would take his lungs 2 or 3 months to recover. I expect it will be some time before the PM is co completely fit, he will tire easily for a start.
It will take a little time for Boris to get back to full health so needs to settle back in slowly. Thought he did well yesterday. As for diddly I do hope that if she gets ill she gets a bit more sympathy than she extends to Boris as she is coming across as a very bitter old woman.
I may be old but I'm not bitter - I just can't abide Boris and his sycophants.
I wonder will Boris make an appearance today at the press briefing ?
I doubt it. And before you ask again, no I'm still not his doctor but I can tell when someone is still nowhere near fully recovered
I thought he still looked rather unwell last night. It can't be easy having to get yourself together to face the public and carry on after suffering a life threatening illness. If it were any of us the chances are we'd still be mollycoddling ourselves - and understandably. He's doing well.
FF. I don’t think all things considered he looks particularly unwell, but nor am I his Dr. :-)
i thought he looked very pale
Probably because his suntan has faded after his Caribbean holiday over Xmas and New Year.
"I may be old but I'm not bitter"

somebody stop me laughing befgore i hurt myself....
youre about as bitter as they come, look back at just about every pointless post you make and answer...add delusional and liar to your list of personality defects
diddly, Yesterday you said his time recovering at Chequers was a holiday. Why so spiteful?
He wasn't working (and talking to Trump on the phone doesn't count).
The Whole Truth - you clearly dislike the truth when it doesn't accord with your views.
