He has probably been instructed to by GP to pace himself. He's back at work very soon for someone who has been critically ill. But there will be those who will be critical whatever he does!
I could not have put that any better APC
I expect they will be along any minute.
Tick tock, tick tock
Is being on the BBC a mandatory and only part of his job, does he not have other things to do ?

or is it that youre just another diddeldodo/teacake on here ?...
Waiting with bated breath .........
Did you think he might say something different, fruitsalad?
the people doing the briefings in his absence have been a total shower, though Sunak seems to know his stuff. I would have thought he'd make appearing before the cameras a priority, but it may be he still feels too sickly.

No I didnt expect him to say anything different, I would of liked to have seen him on there, that's all, I even made a point of watching tonight for that reason.
He was on tv this morning. Bit much for him to appear twice in one day after just getting over the virus.
I can't agree with jno that the other ministers have been a total shower. I quite admire them considering they stepped in at short notice and had to face from the press who continuously tried to trip them up.
I agree with others. He needs to pace himself and I imagine, bring himself up to date with everything done and said during his absence.

Whatever the opinions of the public of all ministers who have given the briefings whilst Bojo has been incapacitated, they have all carried this out with professionalism. They may not have all the answers but they are giving it their best. A far cry from what is going on across the other side of the pond.
According to the news he’s been holding meetings all day with various Ministers , not bad for someone who was critically ill , be it virtual meetings nor otherwise
Apc, they won't be tripped up if they know their job. But if they try winging it they risk being caught out.

I've already posted Patel's incoherent count of the number of infections today so I won't bother doing it again, but she was caught out by nobody but herself.
tigger, the US response seems haphazard but for all that, their death rate per capita is far lower than ours. This may change, of course, as their infection rate seems to be climbing faster than ours, but at the moment I'm not sure the Trump factor's making much of a difference..
He'll be on a phased return and with nothing new to say, he will have left the briefing to the others. It doesn't start until 5pm so he can rest up while his colleagues who have proved perfectly capable of a press brefing, do the late shift.
He's behind you

oh no he isn't
//Where Is He Then//

Just the usual first day back in after a break. Getting his tea mug back from the git in stores who has nicked it. Telling everyone what he was up to whilst they were slogging away. Trying to get logged on again as the IT nerds forgot to update his system while he was away. Sorting out his order for the sandwich delivery ladies and settling up his tea fund that was owing when he "went off". Squaring up his subs for the lottery syndicate and finally tidying up those drawers that were full of crap. Tomorrow is all guns blazing now. :))
Sounds about right, probably had to get his chair back because someone always swaps chairs if yours is better and you are away a while
I hadn't seen this question before I posted a comment on a different thread which read as follows:
If Boris still needs time to recover as some of you claim, why did he make the grand gesture of standing in front of a lectern in Downing St this morning unchallenged rather than heading the press conference this afternoon? I'll tell you why - he was frit of the journos questions.
