public transport, doctors' surgeries and hospitals etc. Especially if you have respiratory problems and some other conditions.
That's it, I'm cancelling my hospital appointment and I suppose my opera at the ENO in London is now out of the question. I said I would make a decision nearer the time but I'm following WHO's advice.

Will any of you follow this advice?

It's better than nothing and you can't always find a sink and soap after touching every surface on hospital visits.

Common sense is the key.
What about the under 60s the younger ones like me who have congenital heart disease do they have to stay away from the listed places.
Something that doesn't work is better than nothing.

We have reached a new low.
Sorry about that - we are all free to use nothing at all.

If you are 60+, OR have an underlying condition like cardiovascular disease, a respiratory condition or diabetes, you have a higher risk of developing severe #COVID19.
Douglas, if you catch one of the viruses you can pour the sanitiser into its nostrils. This works almost every time.
I follow a totally different snifter regime.
If important, I'd go and sanitise hands at every stage of the visit.

Swarfega, is the best as well you know Mamya ;-)
Do they do pocket sized now?
I agree with Buenchico. The advice remains the same as it always has. The Mail article is something that the WHO Dr said on Twitter. It's best to continue to follow the advice on their official website. https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019
Well you could always put some in one of those small jars that you gal's seem to collect ( hand cream, face cream etc ).
I daren't carry a jar of green goo around....

The BBC says "The World Health Organization has raised its global risk assessment of the virus to its top level, "very high" so Maggie I take it they don't just mean England.
In your WHO link Chris it says //if you are over 60 years old, or if you have an underlying condition like cardiovascular disease, a respiratory condition or diabetes, you have a higher risk of developing severe disease. You may wish to take extra precautions to avoid crowded areas, or places where you might interact with people who are sick.\\ So I don't think the DM got it wrong as A&E depts/supermarkets/docs surgeries can all be crowded.
I hope you get the best outcome with your chemo for the minimum treatment. Take care.
How are you these days since your op, ladybirder ?
i don't go out much any way, but i would indeed follow the advice...
blimey. I'd never go out!
No, I am early 60s with asthma but I have to live and that means shops I have other health problems that require very intermittent support so I might go to gp, and I will still go to the gym. If the virus becomes more prevalent I might reconsider but for now I am pretty healthy.
No.
