Court has issued the ruling that Parliament has not been prorogued. Not sure that Johnson "sitting tight" can work. Especially as he said, loud and clear, that the Government will respect the impartiality of judges.
so with labour shanking it up in Brighton, the tories can go back to parliament and do what they like. Great work M'luds!
Clearly government no longer governs; judges and their interpretation and opinion does.
He should resign but will he?
No need for hyperbole, OG. Government still governs, but only within the rule of law, and with the consent of Parliament. That's how it should be.
Boris and his party should be deeply embarrassed for this complete sham of a government. Full of absolute toffs who don't give two *** about the average person in this kingdom.
Confused? You won't be after this episode of ... Parliament

and what about the will of the 17.4 million people.
One does not go running to the courts whenever a political decision is made. It's not hyperbole it's the way things are going and needs to be pulled back. The whole system is a shambles. It can not be a legal issue when a break is decided upon. Never has been in the past. Government is being neutered and our once proud system made into a laughing stock.

Maybe Boris can ask for another prorogation and folk can test whether one soon after another is legal or not.
It’s the prorogation they has been ruled unlawful, not Brexit.
ich //He should resign but will he?//
He stated yesterday that , whatever the court's verdict, he would not resign.
Whether or not Parliament sits has no impact per se on Brexit. It's true that the present Parliament will (almost certainly) stop a No Deal exit. But that is no reason to tell Parliament to sid off.
The Supreme court is packed with paid upEUSSR stooges and placemen. This is now a constitutional crisis and Her Majesty has no other option than to dissolve Parliament and call for fresh elections. The Lump dims and the Marxists have held their conferences but the Conservative conference is now all but cancelled then? Cannot carry on like this and we all know it. G.E. is the only way out........Good. The Brexit party will clean up.
sainpeter, they don't matter to the VBQC.
Ha ha he’d be really dumb to do the same thing again.
Why would another ruling be any different?
Wouldn't be the same again. Would be a shorter break because they've already had a short one.
He won’t resign, ones ego would not even think of doing that. He will put his * incredible hulk* costume on and carry on as normal. Ie (carry on Boris). Unfortunately many on ab will try to blame anyone rather than the PM . Good luck boys. Britain is a laughing stock.
Anne //Good luck boys. Britain is a laughing stock//
Agreed, but caused by the intransigence of remainer MP's.
They are especially keen not to blame the PM when he's done nothing blameworthy but merely tried to deliver parliament's promises, despite a parliament determinedly against him doing so.

You only have to look at the background of most of these Supreme Court judges to realise that today's judgment was never in doubt....nearly all of them married to the eussr

Lord Sales, one of arch-remainiac Tony Bliars closest allies who defended his Labour government's decision against holding a public inquiry into the Iraq War. Is it any wonder he's found against the government?

Lord Kerr another one who ruled against the government in 2017...sat as a judge with the euchr is pro eussr

Lord Reed was president of eu judges forum on the environment, has also done a stint as a judge with echr, also advised eu on turkeys admission

most of these judges that were on this case are directly linked with and are pro eussr one way or another, they have taken money from the eussr

look them up if you can be bothered...the decision was never in doubt...it changes nothing though we are still leaving the grasp of the corrupt eussr and its empire bulding machinations
