Ludwig - // I've yet to see an explanation of the 'crimes' they're supposed to have committed. About as much as I can tell is that..

1 - A security bloke told someone to stop taking pictures of Meghan at Wimbledon.
2 - They didn't reveal the names of the kid's godparents.
3 - Harry said they planned on only having two kids.

Have missed anything? Probably, because I'm not particularly interested in what they get up to, and I don't read tabloids, but I have to say it's not exactly earth shatteringly wicked stuff. //

You have missed something - the media's endless ability to take simple decisions and choices made by famous people, and spin them into fatuous and pointless clouds of unfounded assumption in order to create a fictitious persona which they can then metaphorically beat senseless on a daily basis.
Nigel Farage as usual tells it like he sees it.
David Small - // Nigel Farage as usual tells it like he sees it. //

A statement of the obvious, and as I have pointed out, it's only 'news' because the media can hang another Meghan-bashing on his opinions - as though he some uniquely qualified expert who must know what he is talking about.

Mr Farage is fully entitled to his views, but that does not make his views based on evidence or fact - clearly they are simply his views, nothing more, and should be dismissed or agreed with as such.
No one knows any more than the next – even if they think they do. We all look at the news and form our own opinions. Bleating on at length doesn’t change that.
As are your views AH.

As are my views what?

Another quote to save for the next time a Muslim-based thread attracts your input!!!!

LOL!!
Groan.
AH, no point in saving that - or my deliberations on Jim's wonky and inapplicable surveys as you thought smart the other day. I don't form my opinions of Islam from media reports. I've told you several times who to ask if you want to learn. Arabic or French will suffice.
LB, he can't help himself.
Nigel knows his audience. He's been out of the news for a bit so he says something negative about Harry, knowing that the Daily Mail types, who are still frothing at the bit at the fact Harry married a mixed-race, American divorcée, complain him back into the headlines for something irrelevant.
And as for "Lord Farage"? Good grief, that'll be a dark effing day when that happens.
I know N. It's interminable sigh!

I don't really have a measure of how Harry's marriage to Megan has impacted his popularity. In my eyes Megan is the best thing that has happened to the royals in a long time and I respect Harry for pulling a woman of that Calibre. As for Nigel well the less said about him the better.
I would have thought Harry and Megan would be too busy to do anything newsworthy - using up that forty gallon drum of magnolia on their new house.
ladybirder - // I know N. It's interminable sigh! //

Why don't you ignore 'it', stop tutting over the garden wall and respond to the thread.
Theland - // I would have thought Harry and Megan would be too busy to do anything newsworthy …

They are members of the Royal Family, and as such it is only required that they breath in and out, for the media to start making up nonsense about the motives behind what they say and do.
AH, stop telling people what to do.
