May thought, "Why not ?", too.
His decision. Needs to read the mood of the nation well.
Don't think I would, but if it came off things would be easier.

Exactly
I don't believe they would be easier at all. I think it would disrupt Brexit as well as adding an unnecessary complication at this stage. I also believe it would do our credibility on the world stage further harm, not to mention giving Corbyn a slight chance of power.
NO, I'm aware that many think of him as Mr Blobby in a wig... But I say Give the man a chance, Surely he can't do any worse than his predecessors.
His hero is Churchill, who once said (& I have it pinned on my studio wall) 'Success is going from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm'.
Going back to AOG and TTT on the first page, I meant that Conservative party members had the choice of which of Johnson and Hunt got the job as leader and PM.
The choice isn't Boris's. Labour might not fancy an election just now.

I think that Boris will call General Election if he succeeds in his Brexit plans.
Johnson has no obligation to call a General Election. Previously, Major, Browne and May became Prime Minister without winning general elections.
It would be very unwise to call an election now.
Question Author
Yes I agree that ironically Labour might not fancy it.
It’s very easy to say “we want an election”
It would be odd if they voted against it tho ...
Surely the choice could be BJ's as much as anyone's. Three line whip to the Tory party, and an earnest request to the DUP to call a vote of no confidence. Then leave it to remainer MPs for a large majority in favour.
Labour are waiting until Sept to call a vote of no confidence in Boris. They are waiting to the Ts to be crossed and the Is dotted to make sure the Tory MPs who have verbally said they will join them in a vonc to put it in writing.

Even his own MPs are plotting with their political enemies to stop Brexit.
One thing about PMQ's today was Corbyn implying that BJ wasn't democratically elected, which is rather odd when you think about Gordon Brown becoming PM. Or Jim Callaghan. Or John Major after Maggie.
No, not yet. We obviously need someone with a bit of character to sort Brexit, instead of these grey, self-obsessed wimps. Let's give him a chance at least. I always thought he would be in after May and her attempts to remain while seeming not to. Nobody has been fooled by it though.
//...Corbyn implying that BJ wasn't democratically elected,....//
A fatuous statement by a man of low intelligence. Johnson was democratically elected by his Conservative party, a tortuous procedure we have all been watching for the last few weeks.
Not bothered, as long as we get Brexit first !
Boris has schemed to be Prime Minister for decades, why would he risk being the shortest serving by calling an unnecessary election now-
Even if he does manage to deliver Brexit, it would not endear him with the half of the population who wanted to remain.
He should and will sit tight for as long as possible.
Even of the third that want to remain... the majority still believe in democracy.
Less than a third, sorry.
