Yes. Only a tiny fraction of the country put him in the job. He has a very small majority in parliament. If he’s that great let’s see it by finding out how much the people want him.
That would be the proper thing to do, wouldn't it? He just knows it would be the end of his time as PM before it even started.
No big lover of him, but lets see what he can do ?????
Did Nigel get 32% of the vote? from nowhere ?
I am gonna say no. For one thing, they cost an arm and a leg and for another, what we need at the moment is stability. The government and civil service need to get back to doing what they are supposed to do.
Nigel says he would be willing to work with Boris so their combined vote might be enough to carry Brexit through. Alternatively, if he times it right, calling a general election shuts down Parliament so default Brexit kicks in and we leave with no deal on 31st October. Personally I think, if he does it, he has nailed at least 17.4 million votes for giving the leave voters what they wanted.

Erm just on that point, an election now wouldn’t shut Parliament until the end of October ...
no,why would he? dam silly suggestion.
jo: "Only a tiny fraction of the country put him in the job" - err no, the PM in this country is the leader of the party in government. No PM has ever been voted in. The PM is elected when the party is elected.
He has not got the Guts, to call a G/E.
how's the village gully?
Boris is a little like TGT ,. All Mouth and Trousers
Reading the reports I get the impression that "No trousers" is more Boris's style.
Do you really want another election at the moment?

The people (as you call them) vote for the political party not the PM.

But to answer the question, no he should not, look what happened to the Tories majority, when May chose to call an election?
AOG,11.33, " Look what happened to the Tories majority, when May chose to call an election" . Thats the General Idea AOG ,some people are wanting the same result.

And if the Tories were to get in, there would be the usual shouts of a fixed election, not enough voters turning out etc etc.

But at least they couldn't call for another election, because the first hadn't gone the way their opponents had wanted.
