Does it really matter who runs the BTB party? I assume the first act of the new leader will be to rename the party to something that reflects it's core ideology?

I have answered that x1000 ZM you choose not to accept the answer.
I can remember Liberal revivals since February 1974. Never quite happen.
This “the Lib Dems aren’t Democratic” nonsense has been argued ad nauseam here. I am disinclined to start it all over again.
I’ve answered your question about how I feel about the Lib Dems and democracy, and just to repeat:
I feel fine about it!

ich: so can you tell me if you are embarrassed about your party openly declaring that the result of the referendum be ignored? Do you agree with the party position on brexit?
And I've told you x1000 that all you do is waffle. You asked if I was prepared to be subjugated and my reply was that I didn't feel subjugated. I then asked for some examples and you didn't reply. At least NJ admitted 'Subjugation does not usually affect our daily lives' which is better than your trying to save face by waffling around the issue.

(Apologies, Ich)
Like Old Geezer would point out that it has now been some time since Swinson was elected and democracy doesn't end with just one vote. Don't believe that members knew what they were voting for so it's only right that we take it back to the voters.

ZM, don't disrupt this thread, there are at least 3 years of answers to your question from me and others. If you must start another thread.
For the third time? I’m perfectly happy Tora yes.
Sorry to disappoint you

It seems you are in the correct party.
Some figures to provide some information about whether or not the Liberal Democratic Party is statistically relevantat the moment:
https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/2C8F/production/_107970411_optimised-uk_voting_intent_polls-nc.png

Looking at that chart, it's hard to see how any party could form a government without the support of the Lib Dems.
I think the LibDems should vote again on their leader, as people have surely changed their minds.
