How dreadfully Sad. Yet again the Russians have proved they are not quite expert at Submarine 'exploration'

Well, never mind guys you can't be good at everything.
Awful, poor men.
The Ruskies are amateurs at submarine disasters.
Only 14 dead is very poor compared to the USS Thresher disaster when 129 died.
But they are Russian and therefore we can revel in their demise.
Bonjour Retrocop - it's always sad when lives are lost, there are families who will mourn, but, yes, there have been a lot of Russian sub-marine losses - so they will probably have more trials and tests. They are very determined and a few lives mean nothing to them.
//But they are Russian and therefore we can revel in their demise.//

Can't believe you said that Gromit
//The Ruskies are amateurs at submarine disasters. //

Disgraceful. I wouldn't call the Kursk amateur...…..in any sense of the word. Or Komsomolets or K-8.
What a stupid and ignorant thing to say,Rip to all sailors who haven't returned from patrol.
The British are not without their own history in this department. HMS Thetis was one major disaster. Look at the link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Thetis_%28N25%29
The reality of that is horrendous. Unimaginable.
You'd think that even here, points scoring central, that the deaths of some guys just doing their job might attract consistency of comment.

You'd think.
// Only 14 dead is very poor compared to the USS Thresher disaster when 129 died. But they are Russian and therefore we can revel in their demise.//

oh dear snide comment begins with 'but' - but.... however.....
"another" refers to Putins earlier disaster (kursk I think) when they were left to freeze to death
only Toag has picked that up ....

avoidable loss of life, will {utin be as lippy about it as he was about the Skripals or is that a completely different matter for him ?

those russians dont have a word for safety engineering do they ?

Kursk - Putin's inaction was looked on as another weak russian leader so times do change....

Gromit //But they are Russian and therefore we can revel in their demise.//
What a puerile remark. No matter what nationality these men were human beings, just the same as you and I.
I believe that Gromit was being sarcastic. I hope so.

What a horrible death for those men.
May their souls rest in peace. Simply awful.
Gromit was responding to the sniggering comment about the Russians being "not quite expert" - not a comment that would be made if British sailors had been involved.
Yes, Jno, he was.

jno, for what ever reason the remark was made,I still think it was in bad taste.
Gromit seems to think the OP was in bad taste; so do I.
Fair enough.
The first comment on this post is bad taste and not at all amusing.
Gromit's comment was a poke in the eye to the first poster.
