Really didn't know where to post this (News/Law/Chatterbank or the joke section)?
But this is a story from my local rag.

https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/police-hunting-wanted-who-man-2947714

The police are after a man who escaped from them and is wanted in connection for a number of offences. The police are asking for anyone with any information to contact them. And yet they have not revealed his name, the nature of the offences or even a description.
Who the hell do they think is going to contact them, Mystic Meg?
I just don't get it?

I think those who know him will be up with the latest news, Nailit.
I did mean it as a sensible suggestion - eg a partner, mate, a Pinnox street resident, someone will know exactly who he is and what he's been up to.

No name. No description. No idea what he's wanted for. Police, helicopter etc.
Yes, his 'friends' will no doubt dob him in it.

No doubt, but why are the police asking for the publics help without releasing his name, exactly why he's wanted and without a description?

Its like releasing a police statement saying that we want a person in the Stoke on Trent area. And that's it. Please telephone with information....
Yes I understand but doubt the police are aiming their message at the general public - as you say how could they help with nothing to go on.

Seriously?
A wanted man but they don't know who he is?
A police helicopter but no photo/description?
Wanted in connection with a number of other offences but no details released to the public?
//Yes,maybe retrocop can come up with a reason!//
agc
Not really. I read a couple of years ago of a police force that was after a dangerous escapee but stated that Human rights or Data Protection would not permit them to exhibit the recent 'mugshot' of the fugitive.
Keystone Cops or what? :-(
"//as you say how could they help with nothing to go on//
Seriously?"
?? By 'they' I mean the public. I'll leave this as you seem to be angry about something I don't get.

Eh?
Seriously?
I agree with prudie on this nailit, you do come over as rather angry, but in saying that you always have been anti police,
Or am I wrong again?
Question Author
^^You're wrong again!
Im not anti police. Im anti ''bad'' police that give the rest a bad name. And Im not angry... Im confused as to how the police expect us to help them when they don't give us any info to go on, no name, no pic, no details, nada.
I've seen Hunted, i'm sure they'll get him.
What's wrong with being anti - police? Yes they do good but they do a lot of pointless and bad.

They are a world wide legal gang that has complete authority.

A lot of people are against that kind of thing.
I have a description. face, completely covered in white bandages, wearing dark sun glasses, and black trilby hat, along with a full length pale rain coat.
Indeed retrocop!
Possibly the Chief Constable responsible for policing Stoke on Trent has got his law knowledge mixed up with Scottish Law directives. May be a former Police Scotland officer?

Nobody wants to mention it but you all know the reason.
